Severe T-storm warning for Luzerne County until 11 p.m.

WILKES-BARRE — The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning for part of Luzerne County until 10:30 p.m.

At 9:54 p.m., a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Edwardsville, moving east at 50 mph, a weather bulletin says.

Meanwhile, the county is also under a severe thunderstorm warning until 10:30 p.m.

The NWS is reporting the potential for 60 mph wind gusts, which could cause damage to roofs, siding and trees.

Severe thunderstorms will be near Wilkes-Barre around 10 p.m., in the Mountain Top area by 10:10 p.m., and in Sugar Notch by 10:15 p.m., according to the bulletin.
