I am not a veteran, but I have great patriotism for U.S. military personnel whether living or deceased. How can you condemn U.S. Sen. John McCain for being a POW for five years in Vietnam?

I have no idea what he or any other POW from any war that involved Americans went through.

First, there is post-traumatic stress disorder, the suffering of flashbacks, anxiety, nightmares and suicidal thoughts. Depending on which war a POW was in, and their captivity, the POW might have been enslaved, beaten, starved and become crippled and disfigured by broken bones and teeth, with injuries that were lasting, debilitating and sometimes deadly.

Then, ailments such as tuberculosis, malaria, dysentery, malnutrition, anemia, eye ailments (blindness) and festering sores.

I thank all American veterans for their service, and I thank God for making America a great place to be!

As for you, Donald Trump, I’d put you on a raft, send you over to ISIS and see how you would deal with it.
