Why are we paying school taxes?

What are we getting for our money? More and more sports; think of the money it costs for coaches, equipment, maintenance of the fields, gyms, pools, buses. The list goes on. The teachers are well paid, plus the perks: health, dental, eyeglasses and family coverage. This list is large, plus retirement, etc.

We have elected people who are supposed to help taxpayers, but again spend, spend, spend.

Where is the pride, trust and moral sense, asking what can I do to help the taxpayer? It’s time for the taxpayers to get a break, not take, take. What do you say? It’s time to give the taxpayer a real honest commitment, not more taxes. No closed-door deals.

We need to teach children how to read, write, do math, learn history and find where the world is on a map. Teach them to use their brains and imaginations, create things with their hands.

Take a real hard look at what our children are learning – pretty frightful.

Parents, talk to your children, get to know them. Let them see how much you care for them and hope in their future. I hope you get a good feeling at seeing what you created.

Here is a small request: Be a good neighbor, help someone old. One day, it will be your turn to be old.

God bless America. We need all the help we can get.
