SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Jewell Loyd scored 16 points, Brianna Turner had 15 points and nine rebounds and Notre Dame made its first 11 shots of the second half Thursday night in an 87-59 victory over Pittsburgh, clinching at least a share of the Atlantic Coast Conference regular-season league title.

Pittsburgh’s Monica Wignot, playing basketball for the first time since starring at Holy Redeemer after four years of volleyball, has 72 blocked shots this season. She needs two more to pass Gail Aughburns (1980-83) for third-place on Pitt’s all-time list.

COLLEGE PARK, Md. — Laurin Mincy scored a career-high 28 points, Malina Howard and Shatori Walker-Kimbrough each added 16 and No. 5 Maryland defeated Indiana to move within one victory of completing a perfect Big Ten regular season.

The Terrapins (26-2, 17-0) never trailed in winning their 20th straight game, one short of the school single-season record set in 1988-89.

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Stephanie Mavunga scored 23 points, including game-winning putback with one second left to give No. 15 North Carolina a win over Virginia.

Allisha Gray, who put the Tar Heels up 70-61 with 4:19 left, missed a jumper with less than two seconds to go but Mavunga beat the buzzer with her putback.

RICHMOND, Va. — Caira Washington scored 17 points and Lauren Chase fueled the breakaway run to lead No. 22 George Washington to an overtime win over Richmond that locked up a top seed and at least a share of the Atlantic 10 regular season championship.
