Trinity Johnson and Mackenzie Perluke combined to score 13 points in the fourth quarter to help Wyoming Valley West hold off Crestwood 45-43 on the road on Friday night in a WVC Division 1 girls basketball game.
Johnson and Perluke finished the night with 17 and 13 points, respectively, to lead the Spartans.
Cadence Hiller scored 15 for the Comets while Julia Glowacki added 12.
Lake-Lehman 53, Wyoming Area 30
The Black Knights broke open a close game in the second half with a 12-5 to start the third quarter and a 10-0 run to open the fourth.
Claire Dougherty scored 15 for Lake-Lehman, followed by Brenna Hunt (14) and Ella Wilson (11).
Morgan Janeski finished with 18 points and five rebounds for the Warriors.
Tunkhannock 37, Berwick 29
Down by two after three quarters, the Tigers outscored the Bulldogs 16-6 in the fourth to earn the road win. Lexi Corby tallied seven of her team-high 11 points in the final frame.
Rae Anna Andreas led Berwick with 10 points.
Wyoming Seminary 43, MMI Prep 20
Eight of nine players scored for the Blue Knights in a balanced effort at home, holding the Preppers to four points in the first half. Cassidy Skoranski led the effort with seven points.
MMI’s Bria Kringe led all scorers with 15 points.
Northwest 36, Columbia-Montour Vo-Tech 6
After a first quarter that ended at 2-2, the Rangers took control and only allowed two more field goals the rest of the game.
Northwest’s Morgan Hermanofski led all scorers with 11 points.
BOYS BASKETBALL
Lake-Lehman 61, Wyoming Area 44
Cole Morio led all scorers with 26 points to lift the Black Knights to a home win. Gavin Paraschak followed with 15 points.
Topping the Warriors were Dane Schutter (23 points) and Tyler Sciandra (14).
GIRLS SWIMMING
Dallas 144, Lake-Lehman 30
Olivia Thomas took first in the 200 IM and 100 fly to lead Dallas. Hannah Gozkowski, Gina Kerrick, Lydia Gonzales, Olivia Sitkowski and Caitlin Curran were also winners for the Mounts.
Amanda McGurk won the 100 breast for the Black Knights.
BOYS SWIMMING
Dallas 116, Lake-Lehman 42
Jason Puza, Tommy Doran and Maddoc Watkins all won two individual events apiece for the Mountaineers while also swimming together on two winning relay teams.
Jackson Kuhar won the 100 back for the Black Knights and also helped Lehman win the 200 medley relay.

MEN’S HOCKEY
Wilkes 2, Nazareth 1
Nick Fea scored both goals for the No. 9 Colonels, including the game-winner in the second period.
Nazareth ended the shutout bid for Michael Patterson-Jones in his return, scoring with the goalie pulled in the final minutes. Patterson-Jones made 23 saves.
WOMEN’S HOCKEY
Utica 12, Wilkes 1
Kendall Castro had the lone goal for the Colonels in a road loss as Wilkes was outshot 79-11.
WOMEN’S SWIMMING
Cougars sit 4th at MAC meet
Analiese Hargreaves had the top individual finish for Misericordia on the second day of the MAC Championships in York, finishing sixth in the 400 IM. Teammate Lilly Bernard took ninth.
As a team, the Cougars are in fourth place with 469.5 points. Jennifer Scott finished seventh in the 100 fly while Bella Buchman was 14th and Meghan Ortega was 17th.
Kate Bernauer was ninth in the 200 free while Maddie Grosenstein was 17th. Misericordia also earned a second-place finish in the 200 free relay and a third in the 400 medley relay.
King’s finished day two in ninth place with 209 points.
Day three begins with prelims at 10 a.m. and finals starting at 6 p.m.
MEN’S SWIMMING
MU fifth at MAC meet
Jason Winters finished eighth in the 400 IM while teammate Ben Sorrentino finished ninth to win the B-Final to lead Misercordia on the second day of the MAC Championships in York.
The Cougars are in fifth place after two days with 370 points. Chris Farrell, Logan Kuhar, Josh Zawatski and Nate Shappell finished fifth in the 200 free relay while Kuhar, Jonus Gurski, Winters and Farrell finished sixth in the 400 medley relay.
Shappell placed 14th in the 200 free.
King’s sits in ninth place with 265 points.
Wilkes is in 11th place after the second day with 160 points. Scoring for the Colonels were Trey Harloff (100 fly), Liam White (400 IM), both of their 200 free relay teams and the 400 medley relay team.
Day three begins with prelims at 10 a.m. and finals starting at 6 p.m.
WRESTLING
Ithaca 30, Wilkes 12
The Colonels earned decisions from James Geiger at 165 pounds and Christopher Nuss at 174 to lead the team in a road loss to No. 26 Ithaca.
Wilkes is set to face rival King’s next at 7 p.m. Thursday.
Centenary 29, King’s 18
Senior Isaac Mensah (285) earned his fifth pin of the season to top the Monarchs in a home loss.
Bret Murphy and Kade Kravits scored wins by decision for King’s.
