Luke Kopec had three RBI and Colin Whitman homered as Holy Redeemer edged Hanover Area 12-11 in nine innings Thursday in Wyoming Valley Conference baseball.
Kopec had a triple and scored twice. Cole Whitman and Dino DiMauro had doubles. Henry Rosen pitched the final inning to pick up the win.
Caden Hummer was 3-for-5 with three RBI for Hanover Area. Jake Vigorito doubled and had two RBI. Ashton Schiel also brought home two runs.
Crestwood 4, Valley View 3
Ben Keil hit a walk-off single with one out in the bottom of the seventh as the Comets rallied twice from deficits to earn the non-conference victory.
Trevor Dean went the distance for the win, scattering six singles while striking out six. Nick Miscavage and Chaz Wright (double, RBI) each had two hits.
Wallenpaupack 8, Wyoming Area 7
Wallenpaupack scored in the bottom of the seventh after Wyoming Area tied the game in the top off the inning for the victory.
Wyatt Peifer had three RBI and TJ Schmalze had two for Wallenpaupack. Kevin Bond pitched the final four innings for the win.
Hunter Lawall homered and had four RBI for Wyoming Area. Jake Kelleher was 3-for-3 with a homer.
Nanticoke Area 13, Wilkes-Barre Area 0
Nanticoke Area scored 10 times in the second inning in its five-inning win over Wilkes-Barre Area.
Nick Matson was 3-for-4 with two RBI and three runs scored for Nanticoke Area. Justin Spencer doubled and had three RBI. Hayden Reakes added two RBI. Caleb Butczynski pitched 4.1 innings for the win.
WBA had three hits — singles by John Mihalchik, Ryan Novakowski and Stephen Simko.
