Julia Glowacki racked up seven goals and two assists and became the first Crestwood girls lacrosse player to record 100 career assists as the Comets earned an 18-5 win over Delaware Valley on Saturday.

Isabella Caporuscio figured in on eight goals, scoring four and setting up four more. Hannah Ziegler also scored four goals while Grace Pasternick, Jordan Andrews and Kennedie Huber had one apiece.

Morgan Koons finished with eight saves in net for Crestwood.

The Warriors were led by two goals from Leah Weinreb.

MEN’S VOLLEYBALL

King’s sweeps tri-match

The Monarchs picked up a pair of wins at home on senior day, including a rally from a two-set deficit to knock off Wilkes 3-2 in a match that saw the Colonels break five school records.

With the two MAC victories, King’s set a new program best with 19 wins on the season.

After falling behind 2-0 to Wilkes, the Monarchs ultimately won 23-25, 23-25, 25-12, 25-20, 15-11. Jared Piontkowski had 21 kills and 15 digs for King’s. Sam Capwell had seven blocks while George Beck and Ben Maskiell each had 26 assists.

For Wilkes, Noah Taylor finished with 24 kills and 26 service points, both single-match records. Zach Shay also broke two program marks, topping the list of single-match assists (52) and career assists (1,631). Paul Binner would hit 574.5 career service points to set a record.

King’s and Wilkes both earned 3-0 sweeps of Hood. The Monarchs won 25-8, 25-8, 25-12 while the Colonels won 25-4, 25-20, 25-10. The Colonels set a sixth program record against Hood as Binner had nine aces.

Cougars drop two

Misericordia lost both ends of a tri-match, falling 3-0 to Stevenson and 3-0 to host Messiah.

The Cougars lost the opener 25-14, 25-21, 25-17. Zane Martin had seven kills and two blocks. Kyle Ganoe and Jackson Fehnel had six kills each.

The second match saw Messiah top Misericordia 25-14, 25-18, 25-19. Anthony DePalma had seven kills with Ganoe adding five kills, 11 assists and two aces. Gannon DeFrain had 28 total assists on the afternoon.

MEN’S LACROSSE

Utica 9, Wilkes 6

Wilkes grabbed a halftime lead on the road, but Utica broke a 6-6 tie by scoring the final three goals of the game in a non-conference win.

Six different players scored for the Colonels, with Tucker Parmer, Jacob Kudysch, Tim Hartka, Luke Weakland, Henry O’Connor and Dillon Kadis all finding the back of the net.

Stockton 17, Misericordia 12

Michael Kilgallon III led Misericordia with four goals and three assists while Connor Bevan add four goals and an assist.

Ryan Vandenberg had three goals and an assist and Kyle Vandenberg added two goals and three assists.

WOMEN’S LACROSSE

Widener 16, Misericordia 5

Visiting Widener used a 5-0 in the first half to take control of the game from the Cougars.

Michelle Torzilli (assist) and Rachel Shook each had two goals for Misericordia. Molly Celeskey had a goal and two assists.

Bryn Athyn 8, Wilkes 6

The Colonels pulled even at 6-6 in the third quarter, but the host Lions held them off in the fourth for a non-conference win.

Sam Mullen scored twice for Wilkes, which got one goal apiece from Emilee Magill, Maleah Cobham, Sydney Bernardi and Breanne Fulling.

TRACK AND FIELD

King’s at Susquehanna

Coit Holbrook broke his own program record in the javelin with a fifth-place finish during the second day of the Jim Taylor Invitational hosted by Susquehanna.

On the women’s side the Monarchs recorded six top-10 finishes, with Victoria Zultevicz earning two of them, taking seventh in both the 100 hurdles and pole vault.

Katelyn Shoemaker was fifth in the javelin by setting a new personal best.

WOMEN’S TENNIS

Wilkes 7, Pratt 2

Tea Amerise, Casside Greenman, Zoe Klein and Kaitlyn O’Neil all won in both singles and doubles play as the Colonels earned a non-conference win.
