A double, a walk and a wild pitch had the RailRiders sweating a bit in the bottom of the ninth.

Greg Weissert made sure there was nothing to worry about.

The standout reliever escaped a jam with three straight outs, fanning the last two batters to close out a 4-1 victory for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre over Lehigh Valley on Tuesday in Allentown.

The RailRiders jumped out to an early 4-0 lead in the second inning and racked up 11 hits but were held scoreless over the final seven frames to create some tension at the end.

Oswald Peraza continued his tear at the plate, hitting his seventh Triple-A homer of the season to open the scoring in the first. Veteran Kole Calhoun followed it up with an RBI single later in the frame.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre got two more runs in the second as Jesus Bastidas singled one home before Estevan Florial hit a sac fly.

Jhailyn Ortiz got the IronPigs on the board with a solo shot in the second, the only run against RailRiders starter Tanner Tully, who went six innings, striking out five without a walk for the win.

Michael Feliz, Nick Ramirez and Weissert kept the IronPigs off the board the rest of the way, striking out five between them.
