YATESVILLE – Lili Hintze scored six of Pittston Area’s nine points in overtime as the Patriots defeated Nanticoke 41-40 in overtime in a girls basketball game Monday night.

Hintze finished the game with 17 points. Pittston Area’s Maddie Karp led all scorers with 18.

Nanticoke was led by Nevaeh Baran with 13 points and Claire Aufiero with 10.

Wyoming Seminary 53, Northwest 15

Ella Stambaugh scored 15 points to lead visiting Wyoming Seminary past Northwest.

Karsyn Miner led Northwest with 7 points.

Crestwood 62, Valley View 52

Keira Dougherty scored 25 points to lead visiting Crestwood past Valley View.

Jackie Gallagher added 13 for the winners, who broke open a one-point game with a 22-point fourth quarter.

Giada Costa led Valley View with 15 points. Cora Castellani (11 points) and Ava Gazoo (10) also scored in double figures for Valley View.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Riverside 58, Wyoming Area 51

Gerry Rose scored 32 points to lead visiting Riverside past Wyoming Area.

Wyoming Area was led by Dane Schutter with 14 points and Brady Noone with 10.

Central Columbia 66, Northwest Area 45

Mason Kingery hit eight 3-point field goals, including five in the third quarter when he scored 18 points, to lead host Central Columbia past Northwest.

Kingery finished with a game-high 31 points. Central Columbia also got 12 points from Jackson Gump.

Northwest was led by Jace McCoy with 12 points and Ryan and Josh Miner with 11 points each.

MMI 56, Lourdes Regional 41

Brandon Brobst scored 20 points to lead visiting MMI past Lourdes Regional.

Ryan Sones added 18.

LOCAL COLLEGES

Neumann 65, Wilkes 47

Taylor Simpson scored a career high 13 points for the Colonels in a loss to host Nuemann University.

Wilkes dropped to 4-3 overall with the loss while Neumann moved to 7-3 overall.

Lauren Klieber led three Knights in double figures for scoring with 14 points while Aubrie Breisblatt added 13 and Emily DuPont 12. Klieber added nine rebounds and seven steals while Terea Hunt also had nine boards and DuPont six assists.

The Colonels return to conference play on Wednesday for their first Landmark Conference home game in the program’s history when they host Lycoming College at 7 p.m. inside the Marts Center.
