CLARKS SUMMIT — As part of the annual preseason Comets Combine, the players raise money for an organization by “Competing for a Cause.” The money raised is donated to the organization that is selected by the members of the team. Accepting the donation on behalf of the Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors was one of the organization’s board of directors, Jack Peck.

Peck graduated from Clarks Summit/Abington High School in 1955. In addition to making a monetary contribution to the Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors, the team showed its support and appreciation for all veterans and active members of the armed services by wearing navy and white camouflage jerseys during pre-game of the RailRiders Bowl at PNC Field. Also, the players wore AH American Flag decals and AH camouflage decals on the sides of their helmets during the game while the coaches and staff wore long sleeve camouflage shirts.
