Player of the Year
As two-time Times Leader All-WVC selection, Walsh played huge role in Dallas winning 21 games. She led Division 1 in scoring with an 18.6 average and was second at the foul line, hitting 78.8% of her shots. She had the ability to drive to the basket or fire from the perimeter, making her capable of taking control of games. Named the Division 1 MVP by the coaches.
CLAIRE AUFIERO
Nanticoke Area
Senior
The two-time Times Leader All-WVC choice was selected as the Division 2 Co-Player of the Year by the coaches. Aufiero finished third in the division in scoring with a 17.1 average while connecting on 72.4% of her free throws and 39 3-pointers. She scored her 1,000th career point 17 games into the season.
KAITLYN BINDAS
Hazleton Area
Freshman
The WVC’s top newcomer finished fourth in Division 1 in scoring with a 15.0 average and third with 41 3-pointers. Also connected on 80.6% of her free throws (29-of-36) while demonstrating excellent ballhandling skills.
BELLA BOYLAN
Holy Redeemer
Sophomore
Named the Division 2 MVP by the coaches, Boylan averaged 8.3 points in a balanced offensive attack. Also hit on 27 3-pointers. Stats weren’t her main contribution as she was also a strong defender, ballhandler and rebounder.
KEIRA DOUGHERTY
Crestwood
Sophomore
The two-time Times Leader All-WVC selection took on more of a point guard role this season, but nonetheless produced some strong numbers. She was fifth in Division 1 in scoring with a 13.5 average, connected on 72.2% of her free throws and had 25 3-pointers.
MacKENZIE PERLUKE
Wyo. Valley West
Senior
Perluke earned Times Leader All-WVC honors for a second consecutive season. She finished third in Division 1 with a 16.4 scoring average and also third at the foul line by hitting 72.2% of her shots. Also had 23 3-pointers on the way to her 1,000th career point.
DANIELLA RANIELI
Pittston Area
Junior
The three-time Times Leader All-WVC selection was named the Division 1 Player of the Year by the coaches. Ranielli was second in Division 1 in scoring with an 18.3 average, first in free-throw shooting by hitting 82.9% from the line and first with 60 3-pointers. Reached 1,000 career points.
SOPHIA SHULTS
Hazleton Area
Junior
The two-time Times Leader All-WVC selection was one of the best all-around players. She scored 12.7 points per game and hit 63.6% of her free throws. She also contributed strong defense and rebounding on both ends of the court. Will be part of a young but veteran team next season.
ELIZABETH VIGLONE
Dallas
Senior
As the only senior on a 21-win team, Viglone provided leadership as well as fearless rebounding and defense oftentimes against bigger opponents. Also averaged 11 points, hit 63.1% of her free throws and made 23 3-pointers.
ELLA WILSON
Lake-Lehman
Junior
The two-time Times Leader All-WVC choice was also selected as the Division 2 Co-Player of the Year by the coaches. Wilson led the entire WVC with a 20.9 scoring average and Division 2 at the foul line by hitting 79.5% of her shots. Hit 1,000 career points.
