Hannah Chipego threw a no-hitter, striking out 14, as Lake-Lehman defeated Wyoming Valley West 13-0 in five innings Wednesday in high school softball.

Kirsten Finarelli, a Penn State commit, had another huge game at the plate. She was 3-for-3 with a triple, double and three RBI. Chipego was 3-for-3 with three triples and three RBI. Lucy Honeywell was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI. Kaitlyn Brudnicki added a double.

Lake-Lehman 19, Wyoming Seminary 4

Alexa Toniatti and Jorja Snyder hit home runs and each had three RBI as Crestwood won in five innings.

Allison Babula had a triple and scored three times for the Comets. Madison Mendrzycki had a triple and two RBI. Brooke Lenahan was 2-for-3 with two RBI and three runs scored. Jayla Lomerson had a double.

Seminary’s Ellie Parra was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI.

Wilkes-Barre Area 24, Honesdale 1

Jordan Prushinski homered and had five RBI and Haley Martin doubled and had three RBI as WBA prevailed in three innings.

The Wolfpack also took advantage of 23 walks. They finished with eight hits.

Prushinski was the winning pitchers, allowing three hits over three innings.

BASEBALL

Honesdale 4, Wilkes-Barre Area 3

Wilkes-Barre Area lost a heartbreaker as Honesdale scored three times in the bottom of the seventh for the victory. The winning run scored with two outs.

Alex Hufford had a double, the only extra-base hit among six by WBA. Avery Cour had an RBI. Two Wolfpack pitchers limited the Hornets to four hits.

Pittston Area 8, Old Forge 7

Down 6-0 after four innings, Pittston Area completed a comeback with five runs in the bottom of the seventh.

Silvio Giardina pitched the final inning to get the win. Elijah Barr threw four innings of shutout relief with seven strikeouts.

Nick Innamorati had two RBI for Pittston Area. Beau Widdick was 3-for-4 with an RBI. Jake Aftewicz doubled and had an RBI. Drew DeLucca, Dominick Innamorati and Gavin Wardecki each had an RBI.

Dallas 17, Nanticoke Area 2

Dylan Geskey was 3-for-3 with two doubles and three RBI as Dallas won in three innings via the 15-run rule on Tuesday. The Mountaineers scored 11 times in the second inning.

Zach Paczewski also had three RBI for the Mountaineers. Zach Williams tripled, singled and knocked in two runs. JJ Rischawy doubled and had two RBI. Gavin Adamski also doubled.

Aaron Patton struck out five in three innings to pick up the fin.

Joey Stout drove in both Nanticoke Area runs.
