The Dunmore bats exploded for nine runs across the fourth and fifth innings to outslug Wyoming Area 11-9 on Saturday in a non-conference baseball matchup.
The Bucks led 9-2 after five innings, and held on to stop a Wyoming Area rally down the stretch.
Bobby Hoban drove in two runs for the Bucks, while Jackson Cady had two hits, scored three times and drove in a run.
Brady Noone had a big day for the Warriors, with two hits, two runs scored and an RBI.
North Schuylkill 11, Berwick 7
The Bulldogs scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh before their rally ended in a non-conference loss.
Luke Sult reached base four times as he and Jake Lisnock (RBI) had two hits apiece to lead the team.
SOFTBALL
North Pocono 9, Dallas 1
A big day for the North Pocono offense led them to a win over Dallas. The Trojans had 11 hits, including six extra-base hits. Ava Hannon had a home run for North Pocono.
Abby Cruz had two hits and scored the lone run for Dallas in the loss, while also pitching a complete game.
GIRLS LACROSSE
Pleasant Valley 14, Crestwood 7
The Comets suffered their first loss of the season to District 11’s Pleasant Valley.
Gia Caporuscio and Hannah Ziegler each had three goals, and Jackie Gallagher added one goal. Morgan Koons made 12 saves for Crestwood.
BOYS LACROSSE
Danville 13, North Pocono 10
North Pocono came up a few goals short at home against the Ironmen in a non-league game. No statistics were reported from the game.

MEN’S LACROSSE
Misericordia 17, Albright 13
The Cougars built up a big early lead and held on to beat Albright. Misericordia’s lead was as big as 11-4 in the third quarter before Albright rallied to tie the game at 12.
Connor Bevan and Brendan Stanley combined for five goals in a seven minute span as the Cougars regained the lead for good. Bevan had seven goals to lead the team. Stanley had four goals and an assist.
MEN’S VOLLEYBALL
MU earns No. 2 seed
The Cougars locked down a second-place finish in the MAC on Saturday, beating Stevenson before dropping their second match to Sacred Heart.
Set scores in the win over Stevenson were 25-21, 25-18, 25-22 all in favor of Misericordia. Jared Piontkowski led the Cougars with 22 kills, two aces and two blocks in the win.
Colonels tie record
Wilkes earned two victories on a trip to New York, defeating Carlow 3-1 and host Wells College 3-0 in a tri-match.
The wins improved the Colonels to 18-8 overall, tying the program mark for most wins in a season.
Wilkes won the opener 23-25, 25-13, 25-16, 25-11 as Jackson Shafer posted 19 kills and Paul Binner added 15 against Carlow.
The Colonels swept Wells 25-20, 25-17, 25-23 with Lucas Mages racking up 11 kills and Shafer recording 10.
