An eight-goal day for Andrew Machulski included his 100th career goal as Dallas beat rival Lake-Lehman 14-4 on Thursday in a boys lacrosse matchup.

Machulski added an assist to his game-high goals total, as well. Connor Hivish tacked on three goals for the Mountaineers.

Anthony Magnotta and Jason Law had two goals apiece for Lake-Lehman. Dominik Brown made 10 saves.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Crestwood 17, Hazleton Area 2

Gia Caporuscio scored seven goals to lead Crestwood in a rout. Jordan Andrews and Jackie Gallagher each scored three times for the Comets.

Izzy Podlesny and Julia Bobrowski each scored for Hazleton Area.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

Hazleton Area 3, Crestwood 2

The Cougars surged back from two sets down to knock off Crestwood. The Comets won the first two sets by identical 25-23 scores.

Hazleton Area would bounce back to win the final three sets, by scores of 25-22, 25-17 and 15-13. Antonio Tavarez had 17 kills and Kendrick Ortiz had 11 kills for Hazleton.

BOYS TENNIS

Dallas 5, Pittston Area 0

The Mountaineers swept Pittston area to remain unbeaten.

Jon Florencio, Nate Linnen and Andrew Menaker each won in singles for Dallas, who won the two doubles points by forfeit.

BOYS TRACK AND FIELD

Crestwood 81, Pittston Area 69

The Comets were able to pull away late to win a back-and-forth meet with Pittston Area.

Crestwood’s Anson Jumper won three individual events, taking first in the 110 and 300 hurdles along with the pole vault. George Jennings won the 200 meter dash and the high jump, while also running a leg on the Comets’ 400 relay team.

Lucas LoPresto won the long jump and the javelin for Pittston Area.

GIRLS TRACK AND FIELD

Crestwood 91.5, Pittston Area 58.5

A strong all-around effort led Crestwood to victory. Eight different Comets won individual events, out of 10 total wins for Crestwood.

Aria Messner had a big day for Pittston, winning the 100 meter dash, the long jump and running on Pittston’s victorious 400 relay team.

WOMEN’S OUTDOOR TRACK

Zultevicz leads King’s

Victoria Zultevicz landed in second place in the women’s heptathalon after the first day of the River Hawk Multi and Invitational at Selinsgrove.

Zultevicz currently sits at 2,363 points. She won the 100 hurdles with a time of 15.8 seconds.
