Delaware Valley’s Justin Kalitsnik and Scranton Prep’s Marco Rinaldi were named the District 2 Boys Lacrosse Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year, respectively, as the District 2 Coaches All-Star teams were released on Friday.

Kalitsnik was also named to the District 2 First Team as a face-off specialist, while Rinaldi filled one of the three First Team Defense spots along with Matt Sklarosky from Crestwood, and Cameron Taylor (Abington Heights).

Sklarosky was joined by teammate Ethan Zabroski on the First Team, Zabroski earning the accolade for his work as the Crestwood goalie this season.

Wyoming Seminary’s Jack Herron was the only other player from a proper Wyoming Valley Conference school to be named to the first team, earning a spot on the first-team Attack unit (the Lackawanna Conference doesn’t sponsor lacrosse, so schools from the Lackawanna Conference play in the WVC).

Scranton Prep led the way with five first-team selections, in addition to Rinaldi’s Defensive Player of the Year award and a Coach of the Year Award for Keith Toolan. The Cavaliers won the WVC regular season title and District 2 Class 2A championship this year.

Delaware Valley had four players make the first team, while Crestwood and Abington Heights had two players each.

Crestwood also had three second team selections: Ashton Amend (Offensive Midfield), Brady Davidson (Defensive Midfield) and Logan Rolles (Face-off Specialist).

Wyoming Area’s TJ Kearns made the second team Attack, while Lake-Lehman’s Hayden Evans and Wyoming Seminary’s Hayden Evans both were named second team Defense.
