Mountain Top broke open a scoreless game with a six-run sixth inning en route to a 10-1 victory over Hanover in a District 16 9-11 baseball game on Sunday.

Nate Stravinski and Harrison George each singled in Mountain Top’s fourth, while Eli Metz and Luke Fauerbach doubled .

Jacob Nealon and Calvin Schappert added singles in the fifth leading to four more Mountain Top runs.

On the mound, Jacob Nealon and Harrison George combined for a no-hitter with Nealon throwing four innings with seven strikeouts and George pitching two innings with four strikeouts.

Greater Pittston Area 15, Nanticoke 5

Wyatt Neilson and Jack Homschek each had two hits to help lead Greater Pittston past Nanticoke.

David Klansek, Jordan Tonte, Jason Lokuta, Cody Karboski, Ashton Schumaker, and Crue Ziobro also collected hits for GPA.

Jonah Rowlands picked up the win on the mound, striking out three and allowing no earned runs.

Avery Beretsky, Jayden Bilby, and Brody Balas all had hits for Nanticoke.

Back Mountain National was led by Neil Suchodolski, who had three hits, including two doubles, and five RBIs.

Also for Back Mountain, Michal Walton and Coltrane Scavone each collected three hits, while CJ Mayerski and Dom Liparela each had two hits and three RBIs.

Mark Coach and CJ Mayerski each pitched scoreless innings with two strikeouts a piece.

Wyatt Sinclair had a hit for Northwest.

Greater Wyoming Area used a nine-run second inning to key a victory over Northwest.

For Greater Wyoming Area, Cameron Depriest and Tommy Mazar singled, scoring two runs. Stephen Arnold tripled, scoring one run, while Michael Fanti, Vinny Ginocchectti, and Christian Cavalieri all singled, scoring one run.
