The Wyoming Valley Conference Division 2 softball coaches recently selected their all-stars with Lake-Lehman taking top honors.

Lake-Lehman pitcher Hannah Chipego was selected the Player of the Year. Lake-Lehman catcher Kirsten Finarelli was chosen the divisional MVP.

The Division 1 coaches all-stars were released earlier. The Times Leader All-WVC softball team is scheduled to be published on Sunday.

Other Lake-Lehman players selected to the first team were infielders Lucy Honeywell and Kaitlyn Brudnicki and outfielder Gracie Bucknavage.

Berwick had four players selected to the first team — pitcher Makayla Brown, outfielders Alyssa Lewis and Gabby Starr and catcher Emma Walsh.

Holy Redeemer has shortstop Abby Williams, first baseman Kaylee Gryboski and outfielder Bella Boylan named to the first team. Wyoming Area shortstop Addison Gaylord and designated player Mahhie Hallman rounded out the first team.

The following players were selected to the second team:

Berwick — outfielders Gianna Berlin and Morgan Siegel.

Hanover Area — infielders Kayla Gist and Maggie Murphy; catcher Maddie Ponko.

Holy Redeemer — pitcher Anne Carter; catcher Katie Genovese; third baseman Zoe Pecuch; second baseman Grace Stetz-Madden.

Lake-Lehman — infielder Haylee Makarewicz; outfielders Gracie James and Hailey Wallace.

Wyoming Area — pitcher Alexa Gasek; outfielder Arianna Gaylord.
