Teagan Meier broke a scoreless tie in the 48th minute to lift Wyoming Area to a 1-0 victory over Wilkes-Barre Area on Monday in a WVC girls soccer match.
Abigail Francis came up with three saves in the shutout win. Wolfpack counterpart Victoria Luna kept her team in the game.
Lake-Lehman 8, Berwick 0
Kinley Purdy scored four straight goals in the second half and also had an assist to fuel the Black Knights. Ava Blazes (assist) scored twice in 22 seconds in the first half while Lexi Peiffer finished with a goal and three helpers.
Kathryn Morgan picked up the shutout in net.
BOYS SOCCER
Pittston Area 3, Hanover Area 0
Caleb Shea, Aiden Eagan and Sadiki Murindangabo all scored in the first half for the Patriots in the victory.
Jackson Duddek came up with 11 saves for the shutout.
Wyoming Seminary 4, Mountain View 0
Artur Zelenko scored twice in the second half and picked up an assist as the Blue Knights picked up a non-conference win.
Louis-David Jolin opened the scoring in the first half and Benen Griffin closed it in the final minute of the second.
Cash Hanson-Richart came up with six saves for the clean sheet.
Central Columbia 4, Wilkes-Barre Area 1
Austyn Lepore scored a late goal for the Wolfpack in a non-conference loss. Robbie Miller picked up an assist.
Gaige Gensemer scored all four goals for the Blue Jays, with three coming in a span of five-plus minutes in the second half. Two were on penalty kicks.
Hazleton Area 1, Delaware Valley 1
Ronan Hearne gave the Cougars the lead in the first half on a penalty kick, but the Warriors tied it with a Cameron Stark goal en route to a draw.
Elvis Blinkenburg came up with seven saves for Hazleton Area while Shane Kirk finished with five for Delaware Valley.

Lucia Campenni figured in on five goals, scoring three and setting up two more as the Warriors won a rivalry game.
Claudia Rehill had two goals while Kayla Karcutskie, Nina Bella and Talia Pizano all had one apiece. Rylee Muniz was in net for the shutout.
Wilkes-Barre Area 8, Nanticoke Area 2
Kaytie Marx scored the first two goals of the game and finished with three to lead the Wolfpack.
Gianna Gustinucci added two goals and two assists while Anna Vitali had the game-winner and two helpers.
Scoring for the Trojans were Katie Reed and Madi Falkowski.
Tunkhannock 2, Delaware Valley 1
Kinsley Sechrist scored what proved to be the game-winner in the second as the Tigers beat the Warriors. Ava Wisnosky opened the scoring and Emma Dickinson made three saves.
Jordyn Ciarelli had the goal for Delaware Valley.

Wyoming Seminary 5, Holy Redeemer 0
The Blue Knights got matching 6-0, 6-0 victories from Cece Pons and Lizzie Weaver at second and third singles, respectively, to lead the way.
Addison Priebe and the doubles teams of Elisabeth Moules/Grace Switzer and Kate Minella/Jophie Li won their matches in straight sets, dropping just four games between them.

The Comets won all three contested matches to come away with a victory in their season opener.
Maria Dimopoulos, Sophia Biscotti and the team of Priya Shah and Jillian Laskoski all won in straight sets.
Dallas 5, Tunkhannock 0
Cat Finn, Mahi Dhol and Juliana Kannick came away with singles wins for the Mountaineers.
In doubles play, the wins went to Abby Worth/Lily Milazzo and Charlie Williams/Alana Smith.

Holy Redeemer 158, Pittston Area 162
Freshman Liam Gill continued his strong start to the season, posting an even-par 35 to help the Royals edge the Patriots at Fox Hill Country Club.
Arden Brunn came in with a 38 for Redeemer, followed by Brady DePhillips at 41 and Dylan Hughes at 44.
Andrew Nocito topped the Patriots with a 36. Also scoring were Gianni Bartorillo’s 40 and 43 apiece from Noah Gruber and Ryan Noone.
Dallas 153, Berwick 172
Ryan Roman turned in an impressive round, shooting a 2-under 34 at Berwick Country Club to lead the Mountaineers.
Landon Moser and Brady Youngblood each had a 39 while Logan Moser shot a 41.
The Bulldogs were led by Grant Evenson and Emmett Scheirer with matching 41s, followed by Kale Knorr (42) and Carter Billings (48).
Wyoming Valley West 161, Nanticoke Area 190
Seth Kranson won medalist honors with a 39 with teammates Maks Iracki (40), Ken Craig (41) and Chris McNew (41) all close behind for the Spartans.
Ryan Vida topped the Trojans with a 41. Also scoring were Trey Mishanski, Ethan Yendrzeiwski and Rocco Halat.
Tunkhannock 170, Wyoming Seminary 176
Chad Corby and Mason Berkheimer each shot a 41 to help the Tigers earn a win over the Blue Knights at Huntsville Golf Club.
Ben Landon and Hunter Gilroy came in at 41 and 43, respectively, for Tunkhannock.
Medalist honors went to Seminary’s Ayden Wilkinson, who came in with a 40. Also scoring were Will Hay (43), Caleb Aponick (46) and Will May (47).
CLUB GOLF
Threepeat for Weidner
Charlie Weidner shot an even-par score of 102 to win his third straight Lehman Golf Club Championship on Sunday. The event was shortened to 27 holes due to weather. This was Charlie’s 3rd championship in a row.
Finishing second was former club champion Gary Williams, who finished with a score of 109. Rounding out the top five were Kevin Kneal, Bud Weidner and Earl Weidner.
