Ty’Meere Wilkerson
Berwick
RB – Senior
Player of the Year
Wilkerson set school single-season records for rushing yards with 2,795 and rushing touchdowns with 40 while earning Class 3A all-state honors. The New Hampshire recruit set the school single-game record with 390 rushing yards vs. Williamsport, breaking the record of 366 he set as a junior. The two-time All-WVC pick also started at defensive back and made 45 tackles and eight tackles for loss.
Jake Howe
Wilkes-Barre Area
QB – Senior
The three-time All-WVC selection and four-year starter set the WVC career records for passing yards and passing touchdowns. He completed 192-of-313 passes for 2,502 yards and 26 touchdowns. He also rushed 120 times for 497 yards and seven touchdowns.
Logan Richardson
Hanover Area
QB – Sophomore
Richardson took a huge step forward in his second year as the starter. He connected on 59% of his passes for 1,814 yards and 20 touchdowns. He threw only three interception over his last eight games.
Nick Ciampi
Wyoming Area
RB – Senior
Ciampi moved from slot receiver to running back during the season and responded with 926 yards and 13 touchdowns, averaging 8.9 yards per carry. He also started on defense and had two interceptions and three fumble recoveries.
Deacon Eisenbach
Hanover Area
WR – Junior
Eisenbach bounced back from an injury as a sophomore to lead Division 2 in receptions and receiving yards. Very elusive after the catch, he finished with 45 catches for 767 yards and 10 TDs, including postseason stats.
John Richards
Wyoming Valley West
WR – Senior
In only his second season of varsity football, Richards was a bright spot on the one-win Spartans. He led the entire WVC in receptions with 51 and receiving yards with 1,075. He tied for touchdown receptions with 11.
Jack Rodgers
Crestwood
WR – Junior
Rodgers used his 6-foot-3 size to win battles with defenders. Finished the regular season with 25 catches for 543 yards and nine TDs. Only one of three players to average over 20 yards per reception. A physical tackler as a defensive back and had a team-high three interceptions.
Nick Saracino
Wilkes-Barre Area
TE – Junior
Saracino led all tight ends with 25 receptions for 293 yards and three TDs, including the postseason while providing strong blocking. As a defensive end, he recorded 76 tackles and five sacks.
Jake Bryk
Dallas
OL – Senior
The 6-foot-1, 215-pound Bryk was smaller than many lineman, but his approach made him a dominant blocker. A team captain who used footwork, leverage and intelligent play to defeat defenders.
Brady Cook
Crestwood
OL – Senior
The three-year starter was the leader on a line which featured three freshmen. Although not big at 6-foot and 200 pounds, he was able to control bigger opponents from his center position.
Max Getzie
Wyoming Area
OL – Senior
The 6-foot-5, 290-pound Getzie had 16 pancake blocks and allowed no sacks in helping the Warriors produce nearly 4,000 yards of offense. He also had 29 tackles on defense.
Matt Gordner
Berwick
OL – Senior
Super strong and a team captain, Gordner was named Class 3A all-state. He used his 6-foot, 275-pound size to dominate at the point of attack.
Brian Hankey
Pittston Area
OL – Senior
Hankey started every game at center where he demonstrated the ability to get quickly into his blocking assignment. He also contributed on defense with 16 tackles, four tackles for loss and an interception.
Gunner Zaledonis
Pittston Area
OL – Senior
The 6-foot-1, 270-pound Zaledonis recorded an incredible 61 pancake blocks from his right guard position. He also didn’t allow a sack and on defense posted 25 tackles.
Jack Gravine
Wyoming Area
Off. Ult. – Senior
A first-year starter, Gravine was the best dual-threat quarterback in the WVC. He passed for 1,086 yards and 16 touchdowns. His showed a burst in the running game, finishing with 755 yards and nine more touchdowns.
DEFENSE
JJ Leonard
Berwick
DL – Senior
Leonard posted 63 tackles and 3.5 sacks while leading the team with 24 tackles for loss. The 6-foot, 265-pounder also started on the offensive line and served as a team captain.
Josh Mruk
Wyoming Area
DL – Senior
Mruk was named All-WVC for a third time for his ability to set the edge and draw double teams, allowing teammates to make stops. He had 3.5 sacks, eight quarterback hurries and 22 tackles. He also had 12 receptions as a tight end.
Everett Snyder
Berwick
DL – Senior
Snyder did double duty for the Dawgs. A team captain, he had 53 tackles, 15 tackles for loss and a pair of sacks. He was a devastating lead blocker as a fullback and also scored three rushing touchdowns.
Al’Temier Terry
Wilkes-Barre Area
DL – Junior
Terry had a breakout season as he posted 70 tackles and two sacks. He also was a key cog on the offensive line with his run and pass blocking.
Gene Ardo
Wilkes-Barre Area
LB – Senior
Ardo was the heart of the Wolfpack defense who made 110 tackles and picked off a pass. Did mostly blocking on offense, but still had nine catches and a touchdown. Punted 32 times and averaged 35 yards.
Sam Kelley
Dallas
LB/DB – Senior
Kelley was a versatile performer who made 100 tackles, six tackles for loss, a sack and a forced fumble. He was more involved in the running game late in the season and gained 417 yards, averaged 6.0 per carry and scored six TDs.
Victor Narsavage
Pittston Area
LB – Senior
Narsavage started every game for the Patriots and turned in 67 tackles, seven tackles for loss and a sack. At 5-foot-8 and 195 pounds, he was one of the smaller linebackers in the WVC, but used his quickness to excel vs. the run and pass.
Brody Spindler
Pittston Area
LB – Senior
Spindler finished with 77 tackles, six tackles for loss, two sacks and an interception. He took over main running back duties midway through the season and rushed 176 times for 1,015 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Nico Wilk
Dallas
LB – Senior
Wilk led Dallas with 102 tackles while adding seven tackles for loss, two sacks, an interception and a fumble recovery. He played fullback and tight end on offense where his main contribution was as a strong blocker.
Alex Estrella
Berwick
DB – Senior
Estrella served as the “quarterback” of the defense and was responsible for coverage alignments. He finished two 20 tackles and two interceptions. He played in an extremely run-heavy offensive, but still led the team with three TD catches.
Logan Geskey
Dallas
DB – Senior
A team captain, Geskey finished with 35 tackles, two tackles for loss, three interceptions, three fumble recoveries and a safety. He led the team with 32 receptions for 588 yards and seven touchdowns.
Treyvon Gembitski
Wilkes-Barre Area
DB – Senior
A three-time All-WVC selection, Gembitski had 73 tackles and picked off five passes. He remained a big-play threat on offense as he had 27 receptions for 350 yards and four touchdowns.
Luke Kopetchny
Wyoming Area
DB – Junior
A two-time All-WVC honoree, Kopetchny excelled on both side of the ball. He had four interceptions and returned one for a touchdown. He also caught 26 passes for 579 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Lucas LoPresto
Pittston Area
DB – Junior
LoPresto, a three-time All-WVC selection, was named to the Class 5A all-state team. He returned two fumbles and an interception for touchdowns. He also had three return TDs. Caught 39 passes for 533 yards and five TDs and rushed 47 times for 376 yards and nine TDs.
Tyce Mason
Dallas
DB – Sophomore
Mason led the entire WVC in interceptions during the regular season with six, including three in the end zone. He also had a kick return TD and caught 15 passes for 237 yards and three TDs.
KICKING SPECIALISTS
Chance Hall
Hanover Area
K – Senior
Hall made five field goals, including a school record 45-yarder, and kicked for 54 points in the regular season. He also recorded 25 touchbacks.
Caleb Yost
Berwick
P/K – So.
Yost made a school record 46 consecutive extra points. He was 59-of-62 on PATs, with the misses coming via blocks. He also averaged 38.9 yard per punt.
