The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and Times-Shamrock Communications announced FUZZ 96.1 as the new radio affiliate of Penguins hockey.
All 72 of the Penguins’ regular-season games, as well as all preseason and Calder Cup Playoff contests, will be broadcast via Times-Shamrock Communications during the 2026-27 campaign.

As a locally owned and operated broadcast and media company, this partnership strengthens our commitment to providing more local on-air programming than any other media outlet in the market,” said Terry Deitz, Senior Vice President and General Manager for Times Shamrock Media.
“The Times Shamrock team already provides great coverage of local and regional sports at the professional, collegiate and high school levels. We are looking forward to joining their roster and bringing Penguins hockey to the FUZZ 96.1 airwaves,” said Brian Coe, Penguins SVP of Business Operations.
Penguins broadcasts will include a 30-minute pregame show prior to puck drop, as well as postgame coverage following all home and away games. Online radio streams will also be available on the FUZZ 96.1 website and the WBS Penguins mobile app.
Times-Shamrock Communications is family-owned media company based in Scranton, Pennsylvania that has served Northeast Pennsylvania for over a century. The radio stations operate under the Times-Shamrock umbrella, including Rock 107, FUZZ 96.1, 92 Mix FM and Sports Radio WEJL.
