David Homschek shot a career-best 3-under 31 as Pittston Area defeated Holy Redeemer 145-151 Wednesday in a battle of the final two unbeaten teams in Wyoming Valley Conference golf.
Marco Agolino had a 36 for Pittston Area at the par-34 Lehman Golf Club. Gianni Bartorillo, Ryan Noone and Ryan Reza all had a 39.
Redeemer was led by Liam Gill, who fired a 34. Brady DePhillips and Connor Hillard each had a 38. Dylan Hughes finished with a 41.
Hazleton Area 169, Crestwood 182
Hazleton Area’s Liam Woznicki shot a 39 to get medalist honors at the par-35 Valley Country Club.
Jayson Rush added a 41 for the Cougars. Gavin Lagowy had a 42 and Bryce Fancher shot a 47.
Crestwood’s Kelten Rivera paced his team with a 41. Wyatt Chalker (45), Miles McShea (47) and Devon Long (49) also figured into the scoring.
Wyo. Valley West 178, Nanticoke Area 202
Chase Evanofski shot a 42 to take medalist honors and pace the Spartans at the par-36 Irem Temple Country Club.
Maks Iracki was second with a 44 and Meghan Singer was third with a 45. Noah Fetko shot a 47 to round out Wyoming Valley West’s scoring.
Ryan Vida led Nanticoke Area with a 46 followed by Trey Mishanski with a 47. Ethan Yendrzeiwski had a 52 and Frank Shepanski carded a 57.
Berwick 179, Wyoming Area 180
Emmitt Scheier took medalist honors with a 41 at par-35 Fox Hill as Berwick edged Wyoming Area.
Grant Evenson (44), Braiden DiPippa (45) and Marcus Temple (49) also figured in the scoring.
Mitchell Rusinchak led Wyoming Area with a 42 followed by Hunter Hoiser (45), Jaxon Bryden (46) and Cooper Broda (47).
Dallas 170, Hanover Area 200
Landon Moser shot a 40 to get medalist honors as Dallas defeated Hanover Area at the par-35 Wyoming Valley Country Club.
Josh Salvaterra had a 42 followed by Logan Moser (43) and Cadden Riley (45) for Dallas.
Alex Knapich led Hanover Area with a 42. Pablo Nunez had a 52. Jeff Peck and Kaedin McArtle each had a 53.
Tunkhannock 163, Wyo. Seminary 174
Blayne Roosa led Tunkhannock and captured medalist honors with a 38, one stroke ahead of teammate Mason Berkheimer, who carded a 39 at Shadowbrook. Chad Corby and Ben Landon each added rounds of 43.
Wyoming Seminary was led by Ayden Wilkinson with a 39. Michelle Wu followed with a 44, while Caleb Aponick shot a 45 and Jack English a 46.

Wyoming Seminary shut out Pittston Area, surrendering just one point.
Cecilia Pons and Kate Minella won 6-0, 6-0. Katie Zhang won 6-0, 6-1.
Kimi Li/Anita Ma and Grace Switzer/Alana Magida didn’t allow a point.
Holy Redeemer 3, Wilkes-Barre Area 2
Elizabeth Rich and Lily Dudrick won in straight sets for Holy Redeemer.
The Royals clinched the match with a win at No. 1 doubles by Julianna O’Hop and Elizabeth Decowski.

Talia Pizano scored three goals as Wyoming Area shut out Hanover Area on Tuesday.
Ella Campenni added a goal and two assists. Claudia Rehill and Jules Siani each had a goal and an assist. Shannon Kearns assisted three assists.
Sophia Riley and Madison Doblovasky also scored for the Warriors.
Northwest 1, Tunkhannock 0
Alyssa Best scored the game’s only goal midway through the second quarter as Northwest edged Tunkhannock.
Alyssa Zagata assisted the score. Goalie Liv Navel had three saves.
Tunkhannock goalie Emma Dickinson stopped seven shots.
