Colin Whitman, Caden Hummer and Jacob Vigorito all blasted home runs Friday and Hanover survived an 8-7 slugfest with Township Baseball in a District 16 Little League major baseball game that featured seven homers.
Whitman finished 2-for-4 with two RBI, while Hummer also drove home two runs.
Nick Schiel picked up the pitching victory.
Drew Delucca went 2-for-4 with two home runs and four RBI for Township, Anthony Ranieli had two hits including a home run and Dean Horensky also homered in the loss.
Duryea/Pittston City 7, Mountain Top 5
Mickey O’Malley picked up the pitching victory and rapped out three hits as Duryea/Pittston City held off Mountain Top.
Chase Montigney and Nick Borgia both had two hits in the victory.
Plains 10, Avoca/Dupont 4
Jack Senape finished 4-for-4 with two home runs to lead Plains. Gabe Saracino pitched 5.1 innings to earn the win on the mound while Jack Mihalchik (home run) and Jacob Hunter added two hits each. Jordan Wychock led the defense with a throw from left field to turn a would-be double into an out at second.
Kyra Winters went 2-for-4 and scored two runs for Avoca/Dupont.
South Wilkes-Barre 5
Payton Kepp, Ryan Wiaterowski and Trentyn Harter all slugged home runs to spark Nanticoke’s victory.
Wiaterowski and Kepp combined on the mound to hold off South Wilkes-Barre.
Camden Hagenbaugh homered for South Wilkes-Barre.
Kingston/Forty Fort 8,
Jacob Stevens was part of a pitching trio that allowed just one run and rattled off three hits at the plate as Kingston/Forty-Fort pulled away from Swoyersville.
Aaron Klosko, Stevens and Teddy Kraus combined on a stellar pitching performance.
Trevor Klem had two hits, including a double and Luke Kopec also added two hits for Kingston/Forty-Fort.
Lucas Zdancewicz finished with two hits, including a double, for Swoyersville.
Back Mountain American 12, Exeter 7
Logan Sakulich pitched five innings, allowing two runs and Back Mountain American held off a late rally by Exeter 12-7. Tucker Chesman went 2 for 3 with a double, a walk and two runs scored to pace the Back Mountain offense. Bubba Sowga and Maddoc Watkins each scored twice for Back Mountain. AJ Delucca, Dane Schutter and Christian Pugliese all had multiple hits for Exeter.
Back Mountain American 12,
Logan Sakulich pitched five innings of two-run ball, then Back Mountain American held off a late rally by Exeter.

Back Mountain National 14,
West Pittston 0
Zach Paczewski, Sam Barrouk and Alan Lisman combined on a one-hitter in National’s five-inning victory. Gavin Adamski, Kaden Coyne and Lisman all had two hits apiece while Barrouk, Mike Cumbo and Aiden Burkhardt all drove in three runs.
Joey Colarusso had the lone hit for West Pittston.
Hanover Area 9, Pittston 4
Tory Metric and Kevin Polanco combined for four hits and five RBI as Hanover Area captured the District 16 Senior championship.
Metrick finished with two hits and three RBI and Metrick had two hits and two RBI.
Hunter Thompson limited Pittston to three hits over 5 1/3 innings to pick up the pitching victory.
Tyler Sebula had three hits and an RBI for Pittston.
Hanover Area will advance to sectional play Thursday.
Mountain Top 19, Pittston 9
Jordan Andrews had four hits and four RBI as Mountain Top captured the District 16 title.
Ella Brady also had four hits and Madison Mendrzycki finished with a double, a single and three RBI in the victory. Mia-Lin VandenBerg added two hits for Mountain Top and winning pitcher Keira Dougherty struck out seven batters in the five-inning win.
Nora Callahan and Samantha Herbert each had two hits apiece for Pittston, while pitcher Lili Hintze struck out six.
Mountain Top will advance directly to the Eastern Regional Tournament, to be played July 28 to Aug. 3 in Jenkins Twp.
Back Mountain American 3,
Greater Wyoming Area 2
Sam Plummer drove home Conor Healey with the winning run in the bottom of the fifth inning, lifting Back Mountain American to victory in a game played Thursday night.
Nicholas Salsberg, Healey and Ryan Finlay combined on a pitching effort that held Greater Wyoming Area to two runs.
Nanticoke 15, Hanover 5
In a game played Thursday, Nanticoke prevailed in a five-inning victory. R.J. Brogan hit a two-run homer and also earned the win on the mound while Ethan Ball scored three runs, adding a double and an RBI.
Also driving in runs for Nanticoke were Michael Stachowiak (single, run), Derek Shemanski (double, run) and Tyler Skordensky (single, run).
Matthew Collotty singles and scored twice for Hanover.
Back Mountain 4,
Mountain Post 3
Nick Kocher ripped a two-run single, polishing off a three-run first inning that carried Back Mountain to victory.
Matt Mathers, who went 2-for-3, singled and scored in the rally and Josh Holdredge added an RBI single in the first.
Mathers later tripled to start the Back Mountain sixth and scored on another single by Holdredge.
Josh Lydon allowed two hits through five innings before Justin Finarelli picked up the pitching victory in relief.
Tom Borum singled and scored twice for Mountain Post.
