WRIGHT TWP. — Crestwood school directors decided on a new football coach Thursday night and their choice is already very familiar with the home sidelines.

Ryan Arcangeli, who had served as an assistant under head coach Greg Myers, was hired unanimously on a 9-0 vote.

Arcangeli is a history teacher at Crestwood, where his wife teaches gym.

During his own playing career, he was a quarterback at Lake-Lehman when Myers was the head coach there in 2004. He later became a center at King’s College.

He will be paid a salary of $7,036 for serving as head football coach. In addition, Arcangeli was put in charge of the winter weightlifting program for a salary of $3,284.

On the district’s website, he is also listed as the girls track and field coach.

Myers resigned this fall after 13 seasons at the helm.
