FIRST TEAM
Hubert Herrera,
Jr., F, Crestwood
Herrera was a major offensive threat again for the Comets this season, scoring 33 goals and picking up 20 assists. He helped propel Crestwood to a second straight district title, earning a WVC Division 1 Coaches First-Team All-Star nod in the process.
Zach Holthaus
Jr., F, Dallas
Holthaus was the Mountaineers’ go-to scoring option this season, finishing his junior campaign with 36 goals and four assists. His offensive efforts earned him a WVC Division 1 Coaches First-Team All-Star honor.
Tanner Nilon
Soph., F, Meyers
Nilon scored 26 goals and picked up nine assists, while mostly double-and triple-teamed most games to still lead the Mohawks attack. Nilon was named a first-team WVC Division 1 Coaches All-Star. He’s also a dual-sport athlete, playing basketball along with soccer.
Eddie Melan,
Sr., F, Tunkhannock
Melan scored 20-plus goals and chipped in with at least 10 assists for the Tigers. The Tunkhannock senior was named a WVC Division 1 Coaches First-Team All-Star.
Mike Bulzoni
Sr., F, Lake-Lehaman
Bulzoni scored 24 goals and 12 assists for Lake-Lehman. He capped off his senior campaign with a first-team WVC Division 2 Coaches All-Star nod.
Edge Miller
Sr., M, Wyoming Seminary
Miller was one of three all-state players from the Wyoming Valley Conference this season, leading the Blue Knights in assists. Miller played a crucial role in Wyoming Seminary’s first district title since 2015. He was also a first-team WVC Division 2 Coaches All-Star.
Beaudyn Lewis
Sr., M, Dallas
Lewis was one of three all-state players from the Wyoming Valley Conference this season, helping lead the Mountaineers to a third straight district final. By season’s end, Lewis had tallied with 10 goals and 11 assists. He was also a WVC Division 1 Coaches First-Team All-Star.
Reggie Grayek
Sr., M, Wyoming Seminary
Grayek was a major part of both the Wyoming Seminary defense and offense. He “scored some big goals for our team this year and had many assists, but was also moved back defensively to help secure the win in many games through out the season,” according to Wyoming Seminary head coach Aaron Littzi. Grayek was named to the WVC Division 2 Coaches All-Stars first team.
Nate Naugle
Sr., M, Wyoming Valley West
Naugle was the Spartans top scoring threat, netting nine goals to pair with seven assists this season. He played a large role in Wyoming Valley West’s season surging up the WVC Division 1 standings, finishing with a 13-2-1 record. Naugle was named to the WVC Division 2 Coaches All-Stars first team.
Max Paczewski
Soph., M, Lake-Lehman
Paczewiski scored 16 goals and added 12 assists in a season that saw him finish with a WVC Division 2 Coaches All-Stars first-team nod.
Kevin Grodzki,
Sr., D, Wyoming Valley West
Grodzki was the Spartans’ captain and “leader” this season, earning high praise from Wyoming Valley West head coach Charlie Whited. “Was possibly the best defender in our league. We only gave up 13 goals this year and he was the main reason why,” Whited said. Grodzki was also a WVC Division 1 Coaches First-Team All-Star.
Christian Kosik
Sr., D, Coughlin
Kosik was a three-year starter for the Crusaders and a senior captain. He led the defense at the center back position as Coughlin gave up one goal or less in 10 games this season. Kosik also earned a first-team WVC Division 1 Coaches All-Star nod.
Michael Ceklosky
Sr., D, Crestwood
Ceklosky played a key role in a stellar Crestwood defense this season, which allowed just nine goals in WVC play. The senior was also able to make an impact on the offensive end, scoring one goal and registering seven assists. His efforts earned him a spot on the WVC Division 1 Coaches All-Stars first team.
Kyle Greenwood
Sr., GK, Dallas
Greenwood was stellar for the Mountaineers again this season. He posted 14 shutouts and made 82 saves. Greenwood was also named to the WVC Division 1 Coaches All-Stars first team.
Lance McGrane
Soph., GK, Holy Redeemer
Starting seven freshmen and sophomores this season, McGrane gave the Royals an opportunity to compete in every game. He gave up two goals or less in eight games this season and made the first team of the WVC Division 2 Coaches All-Stars for the second year in a row.
COACH OF THE YEAR
Aaron Littzi, Wyoming Seminary
In his first year at the helm, Littzi did what no other coach has been able to do in districts each of the previous two seasons — knock off Scranton Prep in the finals. The Blue Knights won their first district title since 2015, when they were a Class A school. Littzi’s Blue Knights sported one of the districts top defenses, allowing just five goals in Wyoming Valley Conference play, and saw senior Edge Miller get named one of three District 2 All-State players and six players named WVC Division 2 Coaches All-Stars in the process.
