Inclement weather forced the postponement of the Wyoming Valley Conference boys basketball Division 1 and Division 2 championship games on Tuesday. The games have been rescheduled for Wednesday, but at different sites.

GAR and Nanticoke Area will play for the Division 2 championship at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Pittston Area High School. Crestwood and Hazleton Area will play for the Division 1 championship at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Berwick Middle School. The games were originally a doubleheader at King’s College, but the gym isn’t available on Wednesday.

Wednesday’s winners will join Division 3 champion Wyoming Seminary as part of a four-team WVC Championship tournament beginning Friday. The fourth team will be a wild-card entry. If Crestwood wins on Wednesday, then Holy Redeemer gets the wild card. If Hazleton Area wins, then Crestwood gets the wild card and Redeemer is eliminated.

The WVC Championships are scheduled for 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Friday at Dallas High School. The championship is 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Hazleton Area High School.
