Lexi Felinski was 3-for-3 and collected her 100th career hit as Pittston Area defeated Crestwood 11-1 in five innings Thursday in Wyoming Valley Conference softball.

Felinski had a triple and scored three times. Alexa McHugh, who reached 100 career hits earlier in the season, tripled and had two RBI. Bailey Loyack was 2-for-3 with three RBI.

McHugh pitched a complete-game one-hitter with 12 strikeouts. Molly Truszkowski had Crestwood’s only hit.

Wyoming Valley West 10, Wyoming Area 3

Wyoming Valley West blew open a close game with six runs in the seventh inning. The Spartans finished with 16 hits.

Nicole Silinskie had two RBI for Wyoming Area.

Hazleton Area 10, Coughlin 0 (5 inn.)

Marissa Trivelpiece homered, tripled and knocked in three runs as Hazleton Area won in five innings.

Kyra Antolick added a triple and two RBI. Tiana Treon tripled while Olivia Wolk and Gabriella Terraccino each added a double. Caitlyn Katchur pitched a complete game with five strikeouts.

Ashley Tomeo and Morgan Gayton had singles for Coughlin.

Northwest 11, Lake-Lehman 1 (5 inn.)

Courtney Cragle and Brenna Babcock each hit two-run home runs and Northwest used a four-run fifth inning to end the game in the fifth.

Aleigha Parnell and Emily Culver each had a double and two RBI for the Rangers. Kelly Harvey knocked in two runs and Adalyn Kleintob scored three times.

Tunkhannock 11, Berwick 0

Kendra Schultz struck out 17 and allowed one hit as Tunkhannock defeated Berwick. Schultz also drove in two runs as the Tigers used a nine-run seventh inning to pull away. Jena Simmons had a triple and an RBI.

Emma Stoker singled for Berwick.

BASEBALL

Wyoming Area 10, Tunkhannock 3

Cole Coolbaugh shut down the Tigers in Wyoming Area’s win.

The Warriors jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first and opened the game up with a five-run fifth inning.

Coolbaugh went five innings, struck out 10 batters and allowed one run to earn the win. Caleb Graham led the offense by going 3-for-3 with a double, three runs scored and two RBI. Ryan Petrucci also went 3-for-3 with a double, while adding three RBI.

Hazleton Area 15, Coughlin 6 (6 inn.)

The Cougars used a 10-run fourth inning to defeat Crestwood. Michael Kilker earned the win in relief. He threw three scoreless, gave up one hit and one walk and struck out two. Alex Schell led the offense by going 4-for-4 with three RBI and two runs scored.

Francisco Mendoza went 1-for-2 with two RBI for the Crusaders.

Berwick 3, Nanticoke Area 2

Sam Wygant lined a bases-loaded single up the middle with two outs in the seventh inning as Berwick defeated Nanticoke Area.

Mark McCracken pitched an inning of relief for the victory. Ian Kishbaugh and Sawyer Kemp also had RBI for the Dawgs.

Chris Ormes doubled and had an RBI for Nanticoke Area.

Wyoming Valley West 2, Pittston Area 1

Nate Baranski pitched a complete game with 14 strikeouts for Wyoming Valley West.

The Spartans had only three hits, but managed to push the winning run across the plate in the seventh inning.

Pittston Area starter Hunter Ralston struck out 10 in 5.2 innings.

BOYS LACROSSE

Wyoming Seminary 8, Lewisburg 5

Senior Ryan Anderson scored four goals and added an assist to lead Wyoming Seminary. Kevin Charles Medico also added a pair of goals. Christopher Burg made seven saves in goal.

Tunkhannock 9, Coughlin 3

Aiden Brown and and Isiah Simon each scored twice and added an assist for Tunkhannock as the Tigers defeated Coughlin. Sergey Montross made 10 saves in the winning effort.

Brandon Kelley had three points and two goals for the Crusaders and Xayvion Proctor made 16 saves.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Wyoming Area 9, Scranton Prep 8

Mary Kate O’Brien made 14 saves for Wyoming Area. Cassidy Orzell scored four goals and added an assist and Emma Kelleher also added three more goals.

Kerry McGrath led Scranton Prep with four goals and Aiden Sekely made eight saves.

Wyoming Seminary 18, Pittston Area 1

Christine Kilyanek had six goals and an assist while Grace Parsons had five points on three goals and two assists. Mia Raineri made six saves.

Lily Savoy scored the lone goal for Pittston Area. Brooklyn Pedana made eight saves in net.

Danville 18, Crestwood 6

The Comets struggled to shut down the Danville offense on Wednesday as they allowed 12 goals in the first half.

Jill Taleroski scored twice for Crestwood while Avery Bagdon and Tori Thomas combined for five saves.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

Lake-Lehman 3, North Pocono 1

The Black Knights defeated North Pocono in four sets 25-12, 26-28, 25-18, 25-16. Todd Price led Lake-Lehman with 12 kills. Jon Raspen added 22 digs and Justin Timonte had five blocks.

Gavin Alexander led the Trojans with four kills and nine blocks.

Delaware Valley 3, Hazleton Area 0

Delaware Valley swept the Cougars 25-11, 25-9, 25-7.

Hazleton Area was led by Brody De Persia, who had six blocks, three digs and one kill. Ryan Bersavage added three blocks, one kill, five digs, two assists and four service points.

Tunkhannock 3, Wyoming Valley West 0

Trejon Turner led Tunkhannock to a sweep of Wyoming Valley West 25-20, 25-21, 25-13. Turner had nine kills, four blocks and two aces. Avery Billings added six blocks, six kills and three aces.

Pete Scholl had eight kills and two blocks for the Spartans.

BOYS TENNIS

Wyoming Valley West 5, Hazleton Area 0

Aiden Temple, Brandon Richie and Brendan Woods each cruised to victories in their singles matches while the doubles duos Sam Saporito/Colin Lupcho and Josh Sanfilippo/Alec Ryncavage also posted wins.

PSU Wilkes-Barre 9, PSU York 7

Zach Scott led Penn State Wilkes-Barre over Penn State York with two hits and two runs scored.

Leroy Fettig added two hits and three RBI while picking up the win in relief of Jordan Choman by tossing 2.2 innings and striking out two.

MEN’S GOLF

King’s edges Wilkes

King’s defeated Wilkes and both schools fell to Scranton in a tri-match. The Monarchs were led by Alex Rowan, who finished 10-over with a score of 81. Wilkes was led by Andrew Finke, who shot a 4-over 75.

Scranton won with a 307, King’s followed with a 332 and Wilkes shot a 345.
