Holy Redeemer scored six times in the top of the seventh to come away with a 12-8 victory over Lake-Lehman in a Wyoming Valley Conference Division 3 softball game Wednesday.

Liz Mendrzycki was 3-for-5 with a triple, double and two RBI for Redeemer. Lynzie Skoronski also had two RBI. The Royals also benefited from seven Lehman errors.

Savannah Purdy knocked in four runs for Lehman. Emily Smith was 4-for-4 with two RBI.

Northwest 4, GAR 1

The Rangers’ Nicole Cragle recorded 10 strikeouts and scored a run to help Northwest past host GAR.

GAR was led by Chloe Sromovski, who was 2-for-3 with a double.

Hanover Area 18, Meyers 0 (3 inn.)

Kasidy Slusser pitched a three-inning no-hitter has the host Hawkeyes defeated the Mohawks.

Lindsey Mendygral led Hanover Area at the plate, going 3-for-3 with an RBI and three runs scored.

BOYS TRACK

Hazleton Area 101, Wyoming Valley West 49

Hazleton Area won 13 of 18 events to defeat Valley West.

Jean Portes (110-meter hurdlers, 300 hurdles) scored to first-place finishes for the Cougars. Cole Gorham (triple jump, long jump) won two events for the Spartans.

Pittston Area 79, Berwick 71

Lochlan Messner (triple jump), Dominick Angradi (1,600, 800), Nick McGlynn (shot put),Tannon Kraklio (400), Joe Galonis (discus) and David Behm (high jump) all scored wins for the Patriots.

GIRLS TRACK

Hazleton Area 104, Wyoming Valley West 46

Hazleton Area won 15 of 18 events en route to a victory over Valley West.

Jillian Buchman (100, 400, 800) won three events to lead Hazleton Area. Isabella Colyer (100 hurdles, pole vault) and Keturah LeGette (shot put, discus) added two wins each for the Cougars.

Karaline Stelma (triple jump, long jump) won two events for the Spartans.

Pittston Area 83, Berwick 67

Giavanna Innanmorati (100 hurdles, 300 hurdles) and Nicole Zambetti (400, 800) scored two individual victories each to lead the Patriots.

TENNIS

Crestwood 5, GAR 0

Brandon Krupa, Julien Lacoste and Alex Covelens all scored singles victories for host Crestwood.

The doubles teams of Ryan Kostiuk and Noah Partington and Joe Gola and Michael Hall completed the sweep for the Comets.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

Tunkhannock 3, Lake-Lehman 2

Tunkhannock topped Lehman by game scores of 25-11, 25-14, 12-25, 21-25 and 19-17

Avery Billings record 13 kills, five blocks and two aces for Tunkhannock, while Joao Oldoni had three aces and four kills and Paul Binner had 10 kills, 23 assists, two aces and five blocks.

BOYS LACROSSE

Crestwood 22, Abington Heights 2

Anthony Caporuslio had five goals and five assists and Wyatt Malia added five goals and two assists to lead Crestwood past visiting Abington.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Crestwood 18, Hazleton Area 6

The Comets defeated Hazleton Area by 12 goals on Tuesday night.

Jill Taleroski scored four goals and added three assists to lead Crestwood followed by Helena Jardine, who scored three goals and registered an assist.

Riley Hudock led the Cougars with three goals.

COLLEGES

WOMEN’S LACROSSE

DeSales 20, Wilkes 11

Wilkes’ Kyra Boccio picked up her 200th career point, recording four points in a MAC Freedom loss at Schmidt Stadium.

Wilkes dropped to 6-8 overall and 0-6 in league games following the home defeat. DeSales improved to 9-6 overall and 4-2 in MAC Freedom contests.

Misericordia 20, King’s 4

Kaila Quinlivan posted seven goals on nine shots for Misericordia, and Amy Roth added four goals in the win.

MEN’S LACROSSE

Misericordia 17, King’s 9

Patrick Luzzi had a record-setting game as Misericordia clinched a postseason berth with a win over King’s.

Luzzi had eight goals and two assists to set new school single-season records with 51 goals and 74 points. His eight goals tied the school single-season mark.

Brandon Winslow had four goals and four assists to go over the 100-goal plateau for his career.

Nick Torzilli added three goals and two assists as the Cougars won their fourth straight to improve to 4-2 in the MAC Freedom.

DeSales 14, Wilkes 5

The second and fourth quarters proved fatal to Wilkes as the Colonels allowed a combined 11 goals in those two periods, falling to host DeSales in a MAC Freedom game.

The Colonels fell to 2-4 in conference and 8-7 overall.

Wilkes got on the board at 11:12 in the first quarter on a goal from Ethan Weaver assisted by John Wink.

The Colonels conclude the regular season on Saturday when they will host FDU-Florham for a 1 p.m.

BASEBALL

Misericordia 10, Keystone 8

Parker Abate had four hits and drove in three runs to lead Misericordia to a win at Keystone.

Kenny Jarema had two hits and scored three runs and Steve Weisensee, Santo Guinta and Sean Boylan all added two hits while Brady Madden drove in three runs.

Taylor Price picked up the win in relief while Kyle Melahn worked two scoreless to notch his sixth save of the season.

The Cougars took a 7-0 lead in the top of the fifth, but Keystone rallied for two in the bottom of the fifth and went ahead with a six-run sixth.
