Wyoming Valley Conference rosters have been set for the seventh annual Field of Dreams, a senior baseball all-star doubleheader scheduled for Sunday afternoon at PNC Field in Moosic.

The WVC will take on the Lackawanna League in big school and small school games. The event is presented by Lackawanna County, the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders and the Bill Howerton StrikeOut Cancer Foundation.

The big schools play first at 1:30 p.m., followed by the small schools at 4 p.m.

Nanticoke, Tunkhannock, Wyoming Area and Wyoming Valley West each have three players on the WVC big school team.

Nanticoke’s players are center fielder Dylan Szychowski, left fielder Trahjan Krupinski and designated hitter Tyler Porkinchak; Tunkhannock’s are shortstop Tyler Faux, first baseman Dylan Mislevy and pitcher Nick Reposa; Wyoming Area’s are shortstop Dan Wiedl, second baseman John Angelella and pitcher Toby Hallman; and Wyoming Valley West’s are catcher Stephen Banas, left fielder Tyler O’Kane and pitcher Nate Baranski.

Berwick and Pittston Area each had two players selected.

Pitcher Sawyer Kemp and first baseman Henry Novicki will represent the Bulldogs while pitcher Hunter Ralston and right fielder Jimmie Dillon represent the Patriots.

Crestwood center fielder Dean Ambosie and Coughlin pitcher Josh Wychock will also be on the team that is coached by Crestwood’s Sean Foley.

Northwest is the only school with three players on the small school team. The Rangers have infielders Sam Saxe and David Piestrak as well as outfielder Curtis Gregory.

GAR and Hanover Area have two players each on the team. First baseman Jared O’Day and center fielder George Placencio are the Grenadiers. Left fielder E.J. Murphy and right fielder Connor Quaglia are the Hawkeyes.

The roster also includes Wyoming Seminary pitcher Kyle Hromisin, MMI Prep designated hitter Ethan Warner, Lake-Lehman catcher C.J. Cercone and Holy Redeemer pitcher Frank Desiderio.

Holy Redeemer’s Chris Ritsick will coach the team along with Matt Skrepenak, who coached the last Meyers team this spring and will be the first Wilkes-Barre Area head coach.

The Lackawanna small school team includes Tyler Mozeleski, a Holy Cross shortstop who resides in Yatesville in the Pittston Area School District. The team will be coached by J.J. Perri from Carbondale.

Sean Hughes from Riverside will coach the Lackawanna League big schools.

Admission is $5.

Lackawanna County officials also announced the creation of the first Field of Dreams softball game to be played June 23 at 5:30 p.m. at the University of Scranton’s Magis Field.

The game, presented by Lackawanna County, the Lackawanna County Visitors Bureau and the University of Scranton, will feature strictly seniors from the Lackawanna League, split into big school and small school teams.

Lauren Cawley, a center fielder from Scranton Prep who is a resident of the Pittston Area School District, will be on the big school team. Valley View’s E.J. Weston will coach the big schools and Old Forge’s Pat Revello will coach the small schools.
