Sean Judge has been a valuable all-around performer with the Shippensburg football team this season, but the red-shirt sophomore has added a new dimension to his game.

Judge, a 5-foot-6, 170-pounder from Kingston and a Wyoming Valley West graduate, has been outstanding as an all-purpose performer for the Raiders. But last Saturday in a 35-10 victory over East Stroudsburg in East Stroudsburg, he became the team’s go-to receiver and caught three touchdown passes. They covered 13, 12 and 6 yards. He ended the day with six receptions for 93 yards. And, he also rushed the ball, returned punts and kickoffs and ended up with 123 all-purpose yards.

“Sean continues to develop in our offense, and his role has expanded and he has taken advantage of the opportunities he’s getting,” coach Mark Maciejewski said. “He has done a great job whenever he’s called upon.”

On the season, Judge has 917 all-purpose yards (91.7 a game). He has carried the ball 11 times for 54 yards and a touchdown. And after last Saturday’s performance, he now has 23 receptions for 300 yards.

The Raiders are 4-6 overall and 4-3 in PSAC East play. They close the regular season in a league test against Indiana in a Senior Game contest Saturday in Shippensburg.

Jordan Olenginski (St. Joseph’s)

The 5-foot-4 junior forward has connected on 11 goals this season for the field hockey team, but none was more important than her latest score. The Crestwood graduate had the only goal in the game as the Hawks defeated Richmond 1-0 last Saturday in Richmond, Va., to capture the Atlantic-10 Conference title and earn a berth in the NCAA Tournament. It was the team’s third straight league title, and it will take a 17-3 record and a No. 13 seed into the tourney when it faces No. 2 seed Maryland in the first round Friday in Charlottesville, Va.

Kyra Wozniak (Kutztown)

The senior was named to the PSAC second team last Thursday for her performance with the field hockey team. The Golden Bears, 14-6, will face Southern New Hampshire in its first-ever Division II NCAA Tournament appearance on Saturday. The Coughlin graduate has 10 goals and three assists for a team-high 23 points with three game winners. She’s a two-time National Field Hockey Coaches Association All-American Division II second team choice. Sophomore Izzy Radel (Lake-Lehman) has four goals and two assists and a game-winner for Kutztown.

Maggie Sohns (FDU-Florham)

The senior will lead the field hockey team into the NCAA Division III Tournament after being named the MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Year last Thursday. She also earned first team honors for the third straight season. The Tunkhannock Area graduate has six goals and a team- and a league-high 16 assists for 28 points with two game winners. The Devils, who will meet Marywood in the first round Wednesday in Madison, N.J., earned their bid by topping DeSales 5-0 for their second straight conference title last Saturday in Madison.

Jeremy Walsh (Dickinson)

The senior is seeing action at running back for the football team. The Devils are 5-4 overall and 4-4 in the Centennial Conference. The Northwest Area graduate has carried the ball 74 times for 284 yards with five touchdowns. He’s also caught four passes for 36 yards. True freshman Anthony Cicini (Berwick Area) continues to be a standout at defensive back for Dickinson. He has 53 tackles, 32 unassisted, with four forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and an interception.

Foto Tsioles (Bloomsburg)

The sophomore forward was named to the PSAC third team after a standout season with the field hockey team. The Wyoming Valley West graduate led the Huskies in goals with eight and total points with 17. Sophomore Callie Edwards (Wyoming Valley West) chipped in with a goal, an assist and two defensive saves. Sophomore Arden Morgans (Crestwood) had a goal and an assist with a game-winner. Bloomsburg finished 7-11 overall and 4-6 in league play.

Skyler Osenkarski (Holy Family)

The 5-foot-11 freshman middle hitter is having a solid season with the women’s volleyball team. The Tigers are 20-8 overall and 14-3 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference after topping Nyack in a league match 3-0 last Saturday in Nyack, N.Y. for their 12th straight victory. The Holy Redeemer graduate had seven kills and four service aces in the match. On the season, Osenkarski has 113 kills, 29 total blocks and 19 service aces. She has scored 150.0 points and has a .224 attack percentage.

Tiffany Michalek (Pitt-Greensburg)

The sophomore is a key performer for the women’s soccer team which will make its first-ever trip to the NCAA Division III Tournament. The 19-0-1 Bobcats will face Chicago in the first round Saturday in Chicago, Ill. The Wyoming Valley West graduate is second on the team in scoring with 45 points on 18 goals and nine assists with six game-winners. The team earned its NCAA bid by topping Penn State Behrend 3-2 in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference title game last Saturday.

Kyle Pierce (Lycoming)

The 6-foot, 267-pound junior has starts at center for the football team. The Warriors are 4-5 overall and 3-4 in the Middle Atlantic Conference after a 48-3 victory over Lebanon Valley last Saturday in Annville. The Berwick Area graduate, who also sees action on defense, helped the team collect 515 yards in total offense. On the season, Lycoming has averaged 380.2 yards in total offense including 218.33 through the air. Pierce played defensive tackle as a freshman and played on both sides of the ball last season.

Kendall Pearage (Misericordia)

The 5-foot-3 sophomore was named to the MAC Freedom second team for her play with the women’s soccer team. The Coughlin graduate had five goals and three assists for 13 points with a game-winner. The latter came when she scored the first two goals and assisted on a third in a 3-0 season-opening non-league victory over Oneonta on Aug. 30 in Oneonta, N.Y. The Cougars finished 11-6-2 and saw the season end with a 2-0 loss to Stevens in the league title game last Saturday in Hoboken, N.J.

Abby Straub (Franklin & Marshall)

The junior midfielder has come off the bench in all 19 games for the field hockey team. The Diplomats take a 16-3 record into the first round of the NCAA Division III Tournament and will face Hartwick Wednesday in Lancaster. Straub, from Bear Creek (Wyoming Seminary), is a key defender but she’s also chipped in with two goals. The team, a 2-1 loser to Johns Hopkins in the Centennial Conference title match last Saturday in Baltimore, Md, has given up just 10 goals with 11 shutouts.
