Livia Moore had a match-high 15 kills on her home court Sunday to lead the East to a come-from-behind, four-set victory over the West in the Wyoming Valley Conference Senior Girls Volleyball All-Star Match at Holy Redeemer.

The West, coached by Berwick’s Sarah Warner, won the first set, 25-10.

The East, coached by Crestwood’s Mike Williams, won the remaining sets, 25-21, 26-24, 25-15.

Moore worked well with her Holy Redeemer teammate, Abby Lapinski. Moore also had four digs, three service points and a block. Lapinski had 32 assists, nine points, two blocks, a kill and an ace.

The rest of the winning East team was Lake-Lehman’s Autumn Savitski, Wyoming Area’s Alison Lynch, Hazleton Area’s Faith Grula, Crestwood’s Madyson Sobolewski and the Delaware Valley combination of Emily Anderson and Sophia Wood.

Savitski had 12 points and four kills. Grula had six points and four kills.

Anderson led the team with 16 points, four aces and four blocks while also providing 14 kills and six digs.

The West team had three players from Dallas – Lyndsey Hornlein, Samantha Michael and Emma Berger.

Hornlein had 17 points, seven digs and five aces. Michael had six kills and four points. Berger had 10 assists and three kills.

The rest of the team was Pittston Area’s Emma Coles and Michalie Mazurkivich, Nanticoke’s Rielly Miller and Berwick’s Alexis Hunsinger.

Coles had 15 points, five aces and four kills.

Miller had nine points and four assists.

Hunsinger had four points, three kills and two aces.

Lehigh 87, Misericordia 69

Misericordia hung with Division I Lehighin an exhibition game.

The Cougars went into halftime tied at 32-32. Ultimately, they couldn’t complete the upset.

Tony Harding led the Cougars with 18 points. Noah Rivera finished one point shy of a double-double with nine points and 11 rebounds. He also blocked three shots. MMI graduate Matt Marchetti added nine points.

Misericordia returns home Saturday to play Susquehanna.
