JESSUP — The Pennsylvania Football News published the 2014 Academic All-Stars. The list is comprised of student-athletes that have maintained a 3.0 GPA or better in the first marking period of 2014-15, who were consistent performers for their team and played in at least 50 percent of the varsity games. Seniors, juniors and sophomores are eligible. Submissions were made by coaches or athletic directors.

Fifteen Abington Heights student-athletes were selected as Bronze Academic All-Stars for maintaining a 3.00 to 3.49 grade point average: seniors Pat Dougherty, Ed Goff, Matt Hayner, Jake Henzes, R.J. Moschorak, Corey Sochovka, Anthony Sylvester, Sean Terrinoni, Perry Williams; junior Jason Tinsley; and sophomores Nick Emmett, Brandon Hardy, Logan Hivner, Collin Huggler, and Nick Kerekes.

Five Abington Heights student-athletes were selected as Silver Academic All-Stars for maintaining a 3.50 to 3.79 grade point average: seniors Billy Gerrity, Pat Gilhooley, Sean Gilhooley, Nathan Langan, and sophomore Colin McCreary.

Seven Abington Heights student-athletes were selected as Gold Academic All-Stars for maintaining at least a 3.80 grade point average: seniors Joe Arcangelo, John Czubek, Chase Wickenheiser; juniors Kyle Gerrity and Jordan Hollander; and sophomores Tom Rothenberger and Ben Vale.
