Cameryn Forgash scored three goals and Marissa Mooney added two as Wyoming Valley West defeated Crestwood 5-1 Monday in Wyoming Valley Conference field hockey.

Forgash also added two assists.

Madison Lasinski scored two goals, both assisted by Rachel Galasso, in the Black Knights’ victory.

Galasso finished with three assists. Ava Radel added two assists.

Brynn McGinnis scored twice to help Honesdale knock off the defending District 2 Class 3A champions in the opener.

Wyoming Seminary 4, Hazleton Area 0

Emily Watchilla scored two goals and assisted Nicole Leo with Seminary’s final score.

Anna Mozeleski had a goal and an assist.

Dylan Kostik scored three goals and Kendall Heck added two for the Warriors.

Kayla Fernandez scored two goals and assisted three others as Berwick prevailed.

Emma Colone was on the scoring end of two of Fernandez’s assists.

Crestwood 10, Pittston Area 3

Emma Sheloski and Rachel Zingaretti each had hat tricks for Crestwood. Kennedie Huber assisted four goals and also scored.

Wilkes-Barre Area 2, Hazleton Area 1

Esabella Mendola and Krystal Haertter scored in the first half and the Wolfpack held off Hazleton Area’s comeback bid in the second half.

The Cougars got within 2-1 on a goal by Reese Kaschak late in the game.

Dallas 154, Berwick 195

Logan Paczewski shot a 3-under 33 at Berwick Golf Club to lead Dallas past the Dawgs.

Max Steinruck had a 28, Josh Peters had a 40 and Kyle Langan carded a 43 for Dallas.

Brendan Turowski had a 47 to pace Berwick. Sean Murphy and Samantha Kalete each had a 49 and Ryan Steele shot a 50.

Crestwood 174, WBA 187

Derek Johnson led Crestwood with a 40 at the par-36 Blue Ridge Trail Golf Course.

Isaac Saullo had a 42 while Owen Blazick, Nash Greene and Nathan Thomas all shot a 46.

Evan Serafin had a 44 for Wilkes-Barre Area followed by Mike Hamel with a 45 and Jordan Wychock and Pat Cunningham with 49s.

Hanover Area 165, Lake-Lehman 171

Nick Schiel shot a 39 for Hanover Area at the par-35 Wyoming Valley Country Club.

Kyleen McCance (41), Gavin Brunn (42) and Matt Barber (43) also figured in the scoring for the Hawkeyes.

Michael Lugiano shot a 38 for Lehman to take medalist honors. Joe Masychik added a 42, Bryce Burgit had a 43 and Mike Sholtis had a 48.

Wyoming Seminary 5, Wyoming Valley West 0

The Blue Knights lost just one game in their sweep of Wyoming Valley West.

Ella Krypel and Margaret Mihalick won in singles competition.

Dominica Delayo and Christina Cikowski won at No. 1 doubles. Bridget Dowd and Vicky Smulowitz took No. 2 doubles.

Berwick 3, Hazleton Area 2

Milanna Reader won at third singles and Berwick swept the doubles matches to edge the Cougars.

Wyoming Area 3, WBA 2

Kaitlyn Slusser won at No. 1 singles and the team of Alana Aufiero and Cadence Cable won at No. 1 doubles for Wyoming Area. The Warriors also picked up a forfeit win at No. 2 doubles.

Wilkes-Barre Area’s Trinity Hall won in straight set at No. 2 singles.

Tunkhannock 5, Crestwood 0

Jillian Landon, Ashley Kenia and Meghan Keiser won in straight sets in the singles competition to pace Tunkhannock.

Brooke Boretski led Hazleton Area with seven assists, three points and two kills.

Berwick rallied for a 20-25, 23-25, 25-14, 25-21, 15-12 victory.

For Berwick Morgan Nevel had 29 assists, 11 digs, 14 service points, and three aces. Sarah Steeber had 14 kills and 11 digs. Camille Pinterich has three aces, 13 service points, 11 digs, and five kills.
