Tony Saitta scored all of his team-high 15 points in the second half as Wyoming Area shook off a horrendous first two quarters to defeat rival Pittston Area 40-33 Tuesday in Wyoming Valley Conference boys basketball.

The contest was the 11th annual Eugene R. DeMinico II Memorial Game. It was the first time Wyoming Area won the game, which was played between Pittston Area and now-closed Seton Catholic in the early years.

Saitta missed the last two games with pneumonia, but came up big after Wyoming Area fell behind 17-9 at halftime. The Warriors (9-2 Div. 2, 14-2 overall) fought back to tie the score 24-24 entering the fourth quarter as Saitta scored 10 points in the third quarter.

Chris Klein finished with 15 for Pittston Area (2-8 Div. 1, 5-11).
