Hanover Area used an eight-run seventh inning to pull away from Northwest for a 10-3 victory in Wyoming Valley Conference Division 3 baseball.
The Hawkeyes improved to 11-0 in league play. A win in any of their final three games or a loss by Meyers in any of the Mohawks’ final three will clinch the division title.
Matt Clarke picked up the win, striking out 11 over 6.2 innings. Battery-mate Sean Hart and Todd Kolbicka added two RBI each.
Joey Ridgley had an RBI double and David Piestrak tripled for Northwest.
Holy Redeemer 4, Lake-Lehman 2
Sean Wills threw a complete game and Tom Borum had two doubles as the Royals defeated Lake-Lehman.
Connor Morgan and Luke Spencer had two hits each for Lehman. Jacob Wesley doubled for the Black Knights only extra base hit.
Dallas 8, Crestwood 2
Josh Holdredge’s grand slam highlighted a seven-run fourth inning as Dallas broke open a close game on the way to a victory.
Matt Mathers helped out with two more RBI. Nick Kocher was the winning pitcher, striking out seven in 6.2 innings.
Colin Macko homered for Crestwood.
Wyoming Seminary 16, GAR 4 (5 inn.)
Todd Phillips, Caleb Jerome and Aiden Murphy had home runs as Wyoming Seminary rolled past GAR in five innings.
Phillips and Jerome finished with three RBI each. Murphy and Frankie Nockley had two RBI apiece.
Jared O’Day had two of GAR’s five hits.
Meyers 12, MMI Prep 1
Meyers took advantage of 13 walks to defeated MMI Prep.
The Mohawks finished with seven hits. Luke Bottger (two doubles, two RBI) and Caden Strobel (two singles) paced the offense.
Marcus Danchision was 2-for-4 with a triple for MMI. George Palermo had a pair of singles while Marc Lobitz doubled and singled.
