EDWARDSVILLE: The Annual St. David’s Day Tea sponsored by the Ethnic Committee of Dr. Edwards Memorial Congregational Church, Church and Main streets, has postponed its tea scheduled for Tuesday, March 3, to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, at the church.

FORTY FORTY: Candy’s Place, The Center for Cancer Wellness, Suite 120, 190 Welles St., is starting a new Look Good Feel Better Program at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, March 9. The program is a non-medical, brand-neutral public service program that teaches beauty techniques to cancer patients to help them manage the appearance-related side effects of cancer treatment. A support group for patients with Multiple Myeloma and other blood cancers and their caregivers will meet at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, at the center. This is an open discussion meeting for patients at any stage of progression led by two Multiple Myeloma survivors. The group is open to the public and there is no charge. FORTY FORT: A free training on special needs planning will be held from 9:30 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, March 18, at the Luzerne County West Side Annex, 2009 Wyoming Avenue. The session is sponsored by Luzerne-Wyoming Counties Mental Health and Developmental Services in conjunction with the Luzerne-Wyoming Counties Training Council on Quality.

Attorney Nicholas Lutz of Marshall, Parker and Weber LLC will facilitate the training. The focus will be on trusts, New Able Act of 2014, power of attorney, representative payee rules and other planning needs for persons with special needs.
