DALLAS: St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, off Route 118, is hosting a World Day of Prayer service for the Back Mountain area at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 6. World Day of Prayer is a global movement of Christian women joined together to observe a common day of prayer.

This year’s worship celebration was written by the women of the Bahamas. Participants are asked to wear bright and colorful clothing. Men and women are invited to attend.

PLYMOUTH: The Plymouth Ministerium annual soup and scripture Lenten services will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 5, in All Saints Church, Willow and Eno streets. The Rev. Robert Kelleher, host pastor, will conduct the service. All are welcome.

WYOMING VALLEY: Church Women United of Wyoming Valley are hosting services for the World Day of Prayer on Friday, March 6, at several local churches.

Noxen United Methodist Church will host services at 1 p.m. The leader is Nancy Lane.

Dallas Methodist Church will hold services at 1 p.m. Alice Baer is the leader.

St. Faustina Church, Nanticoke, will conduct services at 1 p.m. Gloria Eget is the leader.

Plains members will hold services at a time to be announced in the spring.
