Junior Leadership Wilkes-Barre is hosting ‘Light the Way,’ a night time 5-K run illuminated by participants’ glow sticks, with proceeds benefiting Candy’s Place. The run is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, at the Forty Fort Sports Complex. Registration begins at 6 p.m. Registration is $15 in advance or $20 the day of the event. Children 10 and younger are free and must be accompanied by an adult. Register in advance by visiting the Cancer Wellness Center during office hours to pick up a registration form or by contacting Junior Leadership at 570-823-2101 ext. 135. Candy’s Place, 190 Welles St., Forty Fort, is open from 9:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
