KINGSTON: The Louis Maslow STEM School at Wyoming Seminary will present the lecture “Concussions: The Science of Injury and Recovery” at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, in the Upper School’s Kirby Center for Creative Arts, North Sprague Avenue, Kingston. The lecture is free and open to the public.

The guest speaker is Michael Raymond, PhD, director of clinical/forensic neuropsychology and clinical director of the Brain Injury and Sports Concussion Program at John Heinz Rehab Hospital, Wilkes-Barre. He has lectured extensively both nationally and internationally on post-concussion management and is a leading researcher and expert in the field of cognitive development and brain injury. He is also a certified ImPACT Test concussion specialist. He works with physicians, patients, families, athletic trainers and coaches to provide appropriate care for athletes and to insure proper return-to-play procedures. Following his lecture he will take questions from the audience.
