WILKES-BARRE: The Slovak Heritage Society of Northeastern Pennsylvania is planning various events for the upcoming months.

A Slavic dinner will be held 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, March 15, at St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish, Maple and Pringle streets, Kingston. Take outs will be available. Cost is $14 for adults and $7 for children. Tickets will be available at the door. For more information contact Bernadette at 570-822-9843.

The Slovak Stations and Lenten hymn sing will take place at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, at Our Lady of Fatima Parish at St. Mary’s Church of the Immaculate Conception, 134 S. Washington St., Wilkes-Barre. The Rev. John Albosta will preside. The hymn sing will be led by Bernadette Yencha, with Mark Ignatovich as the organist, Joseph Kowatch as the cross bearer and Anna Hudock and Elaine Palischak as acolytes. Plans are being finalized for the dedication of the Murgas Room at King’s on the Square at King’s College in honor of the Rev. Jozef Murgas. The event will be open to the public. For information contact Magdalen Benish.
