Julia (Skopic) and Vernon Crispell celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary.

They were married Aug. 30, 1958, in Edwardsville, at St. John the Baptist Russian Orthodox Church, by Rev. John Obletiloff.

Maid of honor was MaryAnn Skopic, niece of the bride, and best man was Joseph Skopic, brother of the bride. A reception was held at the Spinning Wheel Restaurant.

Mrs. Crispell, the former Julia Skopic, is the daughter of the late Eva (Turinsky) and Joseph Skopic. Mr. Crispell is the son of the late Bertha (Kraft) and Harry Crispell.

Julia worked as a personal caretaker and housewife for many years. Vernon served in the military and was employed by Kings College, from which he retired.

Julia and Vernon cherish time with family and friends and are a loving aunt and uncle to many nieces and nephews. They are members of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Dallas, and reside in Lehman.
