North Branch Land Trust is holding its 16th annual dinner and auction on Wednesday, May 6, at The Westmoreland Club, Wilkes-Barre. The event begins at 5:30 p.m. with music, cocktail hour and bidding on a vast array of silent auction items. A dinner will follow with a live auction. The North Branch Land Trust’s 2015 Community Stewardship Award will be presented to Deb Shoval for her foresight, planning and wise use of the region’s natural resources in creating Fertile Grounds, a certified organic vegetable farm and CSA serving Luzerne and Lackawanna counties. The dinner chair is Ramah Hackett. Emcee is Jim Shoemaker.
