When it comes to being a woman in her late 20s or early 30s, there are few titles more toxic than “single.” By this point in your life you should have found yourself a mate and settled. You only have a few baby-making years left and that is your primary role as a woman. When you find a mate, the most important thing to remember is that no matter what, his happiness far supersedes your own.

It is imperative to remind yourself that there is no “you” in companionship, but if you move a few letters around, there is most definitely a “him”. Keeping your man happy and supporting his hopes and dreams should always be your primary concern. Consider yourself lucky that he chose you and never do anything to rock the boat and make him upset. He is always going to be right and it is your job to make sure that his ego is always fed and that he is happy.

If you want to be in a successful relationship, remember that your hopes and dreams should always come secondary to his. Men are the breadwinners for a family anyway and if you really feel the need to do some self-improvement, take a cooking class so that you can better feed him and keep him happy. The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach and it is important to learn new things to make him happy. While you’re at it, make sure the house is kept extra clean so its suitable for him to be around you — no one likes a slob.

No matter how good you feel about yourself and how happy and content you are with your looks, remember you can always be better and that over time he is going to get bored with looking at the same old thing over and over, so if he decides to stray and have a fling or two outside of your relationship, it’s probably your fault for letting yourself go — you should have tried harder.
