The Wyoming Valley will be treated to some warmer temperatures and April showers this weekend.

The National Weather Service indicated that it was 29 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, with mostly clear skies kicking off the day.

Mostly sunny skies are expected to stick around today, with the high climbing to about 64 degrees.

Clouds will move back into the area tonight, with showers becoming likely after 3 a.m. Up to a quarter of an inch of rain is possible, and tonight’s low will be around 48 degrees.

Showers will continue to be likely before 11 a.m. on Friday, with up to a half an inch of rain possible. Friday’s high will be near 59 degrees.

Rain will once again soaken the Wyoming Valley on Friday night, with up to a half an inch of rain possible. Friday night’s low will be around 40 degrees.

Showers will be likely before 9 a.m. on Saturday, with mostly cloudy skies expected otherwise. Winds could also gust to as high was 31 miles per hour. Saturday’s high will be near 47 degrees.

A slight chance of showers will be possible before 9 p.m. on Saturday night — otherwise, partly cloudy skies are predicted. The night’s low will be around 31 degrees.

Mostly sunny skies will round out the weekend on Sunday, with a high near 49 degrees. Mostly cloudy skies are predicted for Sunday night, with a low around 34 degrees.
