MOOSIC — Once again, the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders will be renovating several youth fields throughout the Wyoming Valley through the team’s Adopt-a-Field Program.

Two youth softball or baseball fields and one high school field will receive a renovation.

This year, the West Pittston and Pittston City Little Leagues were nominated to receive the field renovations. Other little leagues receiving nominations are: Green Ridge Little League, Carbino Club Little League, Jefferson Township Little League, Kennedy Park Field (Forest City Little League) and Christy Matthewson Park (Factoryville Little League).

Nominated high schools are North Pocono and Wyoming Valley West.

Fans started voting on the fields on the RailRiders’ website starting on Monday, March 30. Website voting will end at 9 p.m. on Sunday, April 5, and the winners will be announced on Monday, April 6. The first renovation is planned for April 16.

Last year, the RailRiders renovated the Exeter Lions Little League field, as well as the Jenkins Township softball field.
