WILKES-BARRE —For the second time within two days, gunfire erupted in Wilkes-Barre.

The latest shooting happened just after 4 a.m. Friday outside Club Envy, an after-hours club at 650 S. Main St.

Police said two people were injured by gunfire. Neither person sustained life threatening injuries as they were treated at a local hospital, police said.

Police did not release the victims names or any more information about the shooting.

Police continue the investigation of Wednesday night’s fatal shooting in the area of South and Meade streets where Jason Khaleen-Rowe, 25, of Bronx, New York, sustained a gunshot wound to his hip.

Khaleen-Rowe died Thursday morning in General Hospital.

Before Khaleen-Rowe died, police charged Delroy Toomer, 25, of Scott Street, Wilkes-Barre, with aggravated assault, persons not to carry firearms without a license and tampering with evidence. He remains jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $100,000 bail.

An autopsy on the body of Khaleen-Rowe is scheduled for today.

The shooting at Club Envy is the second gunfire incident in recent weeks at the after-hours club.

Police said a 29-year-old man from Nanticoke sustained a gunshot wound to the back of the neck early in the morning of March 15. Police learned about the shooting when they stopped a vehicle for speeding as the victim was a passenger in the car on its way to a hospital.
