Jacob Francis Ratowski, son of Alexander and Amy Ratowski, Hunlock Creek, has been named Northwest Area’s Student of the Month for March. Ratowski is the vice president of his class, a four-year member of the National Honor Society, Student Council and Guitar Club. He displays exceptional talent in music. He plays guitar, piano and violin and sings and writes songs. Ratowski is currently taking an online songwriting course through Berklee College of Music. He has volunteered as a camp counselor, assisted with a cancer benefit and tutored his peers. Ratowski will attend a university in the fall and plans to double major in biology and music performance. His career goal is to become an ophthalmologist.
