On behalf of Big Brothers Big Sisters of The Bridge, I thank the community for its tremendous support of Bowl For Kids’ Sake 2015, which was held on March 28. Our Wilkes-Barre event, which took place at Stanton Lanes, raised more than $107,000.

We thank Bill Joyce of the Joyce Insurance Group, who served as our corporate chairperson and was instrumental in helping increase our donation total. We also thank Tom and Noreen Clark, of WNEP-TV, and Frankie Warren, of Magic 93, who brought energy and enthusiasm to the event while serving as our media chairs, and we’d like to thank all of the members of the Big Brothers and Big Sisters Advisory Board and all of the members of our Bowl For Kids’ Sake Committee.

The businesses that supported Bowl For Kids’ Sake are just too many to mention, but please know that your support was critical to the success of this year’s event. A special thank-you goes to all the individuals who formed teams and collected donations – you are the heart and soul of Bowl For Kids’ Sake, and your participation has helped to make our event in Northeastern Pennsylvania one of the top 10 Bowl For Kids’ Sake events in the country.

Bowl For Kids’ Sake is the biggest and most important annual fundraiser for the Big Brothers Big Sisters of The Bridge program. Without its success, we would not be able to serve the children of Northeastern Pennsylvania in the way in which they deserve.

Again, we thank the entire community for its continued support. You bowled us over!
