NANTICOKE — Police Chief William Schultz confirmed Sunday a man had been shot at about 1:30 p.m. on Maple Street.
Shultz said the victim had been transported by Nanticoke ambulance to Geisinger Medical Center for a gunshot wound to his upper arm. As of 4:30 p.m., he was still being treated.
Shultz said the victim’s name was not yet being released.
He said the investigation is ongoing.
