Wilkes-Barre police converge on the scene as a Plains Township robbery suspect was surrounded on Wilkes-Barre Boulevard on Sunday evening.

Wilkes-Barre police on Sunday confirmed the apprehension of a female who allegedly robbed Donna’s Convenient Mart, on River Street, Plains Township, earlier in the evening.

The female allegedly fled the scene in a black Chevy Z71 and was apprehended on Wilkes-Barre Boulevard near Coal Street by city police at about 6:15 p.m.

Wilkes-Barre, Kingston and Plains Township police are active in the investigation.
