Members and friends of the Rotary Club of Dallas recently gathered at the Appletree Terrace, Newberry Estate, Dallas, to celebrate the 88th anniversary of the signing of the club’s charter in March 1927. That historic event launched almost nine decades of ‘Service Above Self’ by the club members. One of the highlights of this year’s charter night celebration was the presentation of a Paul Harris Fellow Award for ‘Service Above Self’ to Past President Melissa Saxon, who is a second-time winner of this award. The club meets at 6:30 p.m. every Thursday at the Irem Country Club, Dallas. Visit dallasrotaryclub.com and Rotary.org for more information.
